Twenty years of Mega Man in 5 minutes photo

Capcom has created a brilliant video summing up the last 20 years of Mega Man in honor of his 20th anniversary this year. Just about every Mega Man-related game created, including the X, Legends, and Battle Network series made their way into it.

This video is great for those who just couldn't keep up the countless titles released from the hit series. Fans may find themselves in several 'oh yeah!' moments, and hardcore ones might get a bit misty eyed, but almost anyone can appreciate how far the series has come.

Capcom's official Rock Man web site has this Mega montage available for viewing now.

*sniffle* Blue Bomber forever, baby.

Dear lord Dale, three posts in a row. Your going to make your coworkers look bad, especially Mr. Houghton.

Hmm, I didn't see MMX Command Mission. Maybe not because it was action based, but because it sucked.

I've only played about half the games in that video.

No X7-X8, NO BATTLE NETWORK, and none of the Z's (Though I have and am enjoying ZX)

I feel justified in thinking I've played the good half.

Yeah, but only the first 10 years are any good.

They didn't show Tron Bonne's game or the Mega Man soccer game.

Woo Mega Man!
Z has been the best series since X5. I'd say 4 but I played 5 way before I ever saw a copy of 4.
The Z series has had a pretty cool feel to it and, lets face it, everyone wants to play zero.

I didn't see Megaman Network Transmission either. Now that's a fantastic game. I don't care what anyone says. It should have been on there.

I did feel a tear come down my cheek. Its something I havent shed in a long while. And Mega Man was one of those titles that pushed you to limits, even to shut off your NES / SNES / or GBA and come back later. Not many games are capable of that these days, unless they have horrible controls, or bizarro gameplay that keeps you in knots. No, this was one of the most challenging series' by far. Its changed a bit now, but still carries the blue bombers' namesake.

*i even checked out the gallery, plus wallpaper, man where'd the time go. *sniffle

I love how all the battle Network games look IDENTICAL.

So out of about 200 Megaman games, there's about seven unique ones, each one with at least 5 sequels. Seesh, I knew they made a lot of sequels but...blimey.

Megaman might be my favorite videogame series ever, but they definetely have gone downhill. I stopped caring after X5 when shit just got weird and they started using stage music from the old games in the new ones. Where is Willy Wars and Megaman Soccer!?!?

WTF? http://www.capcom.co.jp/rockman20th/download/item/wallpaper02_1280.jpg
Where is Zero? They have Mega Man Legends in there but no original zero? On the right appears what is intended to be the original but its the original from the Zero series. The redesign is good and all but I still much prefer the old one. They don't use the redesigned X. Weird.
