Set up a Japanese Live account the other day especially for this demo. I'm really curious to see how it plays.
It's a most have! If it goes over seas. If not some day if I have some cash laing around I'll buy it. The same thing I did with the K-on psp game.
I kinda started tuning the stories everywhere out for a while when they degenerated into stuff like "Vincent has FRIENDS!" and "Vincent's friends have HOBBIES!!" But this? Now I'm curious again!

Depending on how the gameplay turns out to be (which is my primary concern with Catherine), this could be pretty good.
But I haven't seen enough of the gameplay to make me care about Catherine beyond the concept. And if the gameplay sucks, this is just gonna be terrible.

Why does a game like this need multiplayer? If the game ends up bad this feature will get the blame. Who knows though, it could turn out good, but it still seems like a terrible terrible idea.

To anyone else trying to make a japanese account that may randomly read this, most of the first google search methods don't work thanks to the new dashboard. The only way I succesfully created one was to make a japanese email, and then create the xbox account directly off the japan version of xbox.com. Entering the email into the console, it still autodetected I was in Ireland and not Japan.

This game and the hype around it makes me sad for video games.

Dead Space 2 never "needed" multiplayer but that hasn't stopped it from being rather good.
Here's an idea: if the anyone's pissed off that this game has mutliplayer and thinks it has been ruined, there's simple solution. Don't play it.

I knew Atlus hadn't revealed all about this game yet! Those sly foxes seem to always have one more trick up their sleeves.
I am excited for this game, if only because it is from Atlus. I have been looking forward and constantly trying to explain to friends that it is technically not a porn game.

I played the Japanese demo today, even though I can't read Kanji or speak Japanese. 3 words... US RELEASE PLEASE. The puzzle/platform mechanic works well and the conversations actually sounded interesting. Voice acting seems top-notch too. Oh Atlus, you never disappoint me :D I'll gladly pay $100 to import this game if Atlus can't release it here.
