TurboGrafx-16 games coming to PlayStation Store in Europe photo

There has been some talk in the past about getting TurboGrafx-16 titles on to the PlayStation Store in the west. Japan has had access to them for years now. It seems that they will finally materialize, as the German software ratings board USK has spilled the beans by adding ten games to their database. The games listed are:

  • Bonk’s Adventure
  • New Adventure Island
  • World Sports Competition
  • Victory Run
  • Soldier Blade
  • Dungeon Explorer
  • Super Star Soldier
  • Alien Crush
  • Neutopia
  • Bomberman ’94

I guess this is exciting news for some people. All of these games have been available on the Wii for a very long time in both Europe and North America, so it's hard to get too excited about seeing them again now. Stil, not everybody has a Wii and everybody needs Dungeon Explorer.

Still needs Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, so I don't have to use the Dracula X Chronicles UMD for playing it.
And remember, lads: That's just the first line up. If they get released, there will be more to come eventually.

Does anybody know if the games will have trophies?

@Joo Mealha

Don't count on it. PS1 Classics don't have trophies, either.

Wont complain if they turn out to be cheaper than their Wii counterparts. 600 points isn't bad for a Turbografx title, but I hate having to buy games with these monopoly money points systems where I can't see exactly what I'm spending.

@Discarded Couch Sandwich - The only point system that's at all hard to figure out is Microsoft's ridiculous point system. Wii Points are basically just a penny per point, so 600 points is just $6.00. The PSN just uses plain old dollars.
