Turbine announces DC Comics-based MOBA Infinite Crisis

So many Batmen

Another multiplayer online battle arena has surfaced, though at least this one has got familiar characters and fiction going for it. Infinite Crisis is a PC-bound free-to-play title coming this fall from The Lord of the Rings Online developer Turbine.

The game takes place in the DC Multiverse complete with alternate heroes and villains, so expect to see characters such as Nightmare Batman, Gaslight Catwoman, Green Lantern, and The Flash. While Infinite Crisis looks rough around the edges right now, the base concept isn't half bad for a MOBA. Sign up for the beta over here, if you're so inclined.

"We are utilizing years of experience in the online game space to deliver innovations to the MOBA genre with a game that features fast-paced action, a major story arc, destructible environments, catastrophic events and a deep roster of iconic DC Comics characters," said executive producer Jeffrey Steefel.
