Spiky hair, or spiky guns? Mazes of melody, or murderous marathons? Whammy bar or curb stomping?!! This is the perfect example of what the Dtoid Tuesday game debates are all about -- two games that have NOTHING in common as far as genre, gameplay, story, dialogue, and graphics are concerned. And yet, both are scoring high 9 ratings, and even 10's
all across the Internet today.
So obviously this week's game debate marks an all time high on the despicable meter as I ask: If you could only buy one to take home and play for a week, while not touching the other at all for those 7 long days, which would you overdose on?
Gears of War? Or
Guitar Hero 2? No witty loophole remarks about you being broke -- pretend Morpheus himself is sitting in front of you with
Gears of War in one hand, and
Guitar Hero 2 in the other. The one you pick is free, but which would you rather have? Cast your vote, give a short reasoning, get your friends to vote too, and go do your damndest to go play each of these games as much as you can all week. Check back in 7 days for the winner, as well as the biggest game debate of the year (see below).
Here’s the top rankers from last week’s
Halloween scary game debate. Good to see a semi-recent thriller title is able to compare with our the classic scary games:
Silent Hill 2: 9 votes - Winner
Silent Hill 1: 5 votes
Condemned: 4 votes
It isn't long at all until the epic next generation launch finally comes to a close, as the PS3 and the Wii join 360 in the future of gaming. Next week's game debate will be as simple as listing the 360, PS3, and Wii in the order you see them coming in once the next-next gen is on the way and the current next gen comes to an end in sales. It's the flamewar we've all known and loved for the past month, if not 4 years. So next week we're gonna grab our gonads, lay down our opinions, and have them cast in metastone once and for all. Feel free to go to great lengths to argue against one another futilely while you wait the extra few days until PS3 and Wii launches, but in a year from now we'll dig up the article and point and laugh at the people who predicted things all wrong. But after next week's game debate, hopefully we can all live on and game in peace and STFUAJPG happily ever after.
