Tropico 4 release dates announced photo

When Tropico 4 was announced, no specific release date was given, but a promise of 2011 was made, and is now being fulfilled. Those looking to fill the role of El Presidente on the PC can start their  dictatorship on August 26, while Xbox 360 rulers will have to wait until mid-September.

I have never played Tropico, but from what I hear, it is a good time. I'm not great at strategy games, but the idea of controlling a country appeals to me. It seems like there is also going to be quite a bit of political intrigue and maneuvering, which is fun. One addition to the game that I personally like is the ability to put allies in office in order to make passing unpopular acts into law.

Review: Tropico 4

Hola El Presidente! I see you have returned to rule Tropico once more, after having done so in Tropico 3 and maybe even after extending your rule in Tropico 3: Absolute Power. Because life as El Presidente is hard enough, you will be happy to know that the island nation will take more or less the exact same skills to govern as it did before. Or perhaps the similarity will disappoint you.more

Juanito says: Go watch this Tropico 4 trailer

A new trailer for Tropico 4 confirms one thing: it's more of what Tropico 3 gave us. Which is really all I need to know to make it my third most anticipated game for the rest of this year after Deus Ex: Human Revolution and A...more

Brighten your morning with I am Bread

It's been over a month and, conceptually, I am Bread still tickles me. I'm giggling over the prospect of sentient bread going on a quest to become toasted (what happens next?). Ahead of the game's Steam Early Access release ...more

Even failing looks fun in Heat Signature

Just like with Gunpoint, it's a joy to watch designer Tom Francis play Heat Signature, wonky wrench physics and all, while it's still in development. It's as if he's making the game solely for himself and, hey, if the rest o...more
