Trifecta completed: EA reveals NCAA Football 09 PS3 cover artwork
College football fans, you can stop biting your nails. After a long wait — the 360 version’s cover was announced way back on March 6th, and the Wii version’s cover was unveiled twelve days later — we finally know the identity of the PS3 version’s coverboy for NCAA Football 09: Matt Ryan, former quarterback for the Boston College Eagles. EA’s press release (hit the jump) mentions that Ryan (who is entering the 2008 NFL Draft) will join Darren McFadden, the 360 version’s coverboy, as a spokesman for the game. I bet Sparty is feeling left out at the moment... The PR babble also discusses numerous features and highlights of the game, including its Dynasty Mode and Home Field Advantage. In addition to the official press release, EA sent over eight brand spanking new screenshots of the game, three of which feature newly crowned coverboy Ryan. Along with the first trailer, this game is looking pretty good. Curiously, Ryan’s number in the game is 10, though Ryan wore #12 for the Eagles. You can check out the shots below, along with the PS3 box. The PS2 and PSP versions will share the same artwork; it’ll be revealed in early May. NCAA Football 09 will be out on July 15th for the PS3, 360, Wii, PS2, PSP, and mobile devices.

Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)I love this game. It is way better then Madden. Because I can play with my Alma Mater the University of Florida Ryan's number is different because he isn't in the game. The reason he's on the cover is he's already out of college football, NCAA rules wouldn't allow him to be on the cover if he was still playing. I've never really been into sportsgames, and this game doesn't look like its gonna draw me into it either... 1:00 PM on 05.22.2013 EA's E3 conference includes first look at Star Wars plansElectronic Arts' E3 press briefing will provide viewers with a first look at what the company plans on doing with its multi-year Star Wars deal with Disney, EA Labels president Frank Gibeau announced.
