I really want XSEED's Ju-On: The Grudge, even though I'm pretty sure it's the type of game I'm going to play for thirty minutes and then only put on for Halloween parties. Whatever though, I'm a sucker for haunted houses, and having a "haunted house simulator" sure beats more than half of the Wii's current library in awesome points.
XSEED has announced that the game will hit store shelves on October 13th at the price point of $29.99. Having been a fan of the Ju-On films since the first entry in the series, I'm very interested to check the game out and see if it captures the creepy feel of the films. Anyone else gonna set this up at their Halloween party this year?
XSEED Games Announces October 13th Ship Date for JU-ON: The Grudge
Just in time for Halloween, XSEED Games has been holding a grudge on Wii™ owners and has vowed to make amends starting October 13th. JU-ON: The Grudge, a haunted house simulator developed by feelplus, immerses players in a number of mysterious and eerie locales shrouded in utter darkness.
Armed with only a flashlight, players’ safety depends on thorough exploration of cursed surroundings, including an abandoned warehouse and a decrepit hospital. Move quickly, because as your batteries drain and the darkness closes in around you, it becomes explicitly clear that something far more sinister than rats is lurking behind you.

I just hope that is has good replay value, and that scares don't happen in the same spot everytime...
I love October! Nothing in the world like watching horror movies, carving pumpkins, eating Count Chocula(my favorite cereal ever) and playing horror themed video games with friends.
Gotta love the October Halloween season! Yay!
Time for Night of the Living Dead and Romero zombie films, Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th(movies and games), Resident Evil(strictly the games) and now some Ju-On and Saw video games! =)
Boo.
Boo berry kinda sucks...
Also, if this is available at toys are is, this might be a righteous GET for their alleged buy 2 get the third game free deal for that week.
Toys R Us
Same day as a Boy and his Blob though? ROUGH.
I love horror games, especially when the focus isn't based on the heavy action. Looking forward to the review.
covers like that are one of the reasons why gamers don´t take Wii games seriously... I would love to shot the bastard that came with this idea...
p.s.: what can I do? buy my copy and print the american/or japanese cover :/
Also, Count Chocula is on sale at Target for $1.99 a box! And the other Monster cereals, as well... Boo Berry and Franken Berry. Time to stock up!
