RedLynx announced today their latest project, MotoHeroz for the Nintendo WiiWare service.
This downloadable racing game featuring three major gameplay options, a single player adventure, four-player local multiplayer, and the daily online competition. In the online mode a new tracks open daily to let you compete on leaderboards. It says that physics are a major factor in the gameplay too. Pretty much exactly what too expect from these guys.
MotoHeroz is slated to be finished around the end of this year or in early 2011. I'm sort of excited for this. Trials HD had some fantastic physics gameplay, and the leaderboard friends list competition could quickly get fairly fierce. I liked that, and am anxious to try out this game. How do the rest of you guys feel about MotoHeroz?

I discovered at gamestop that if you wait 5 years to get a game, most AAA titles will lose all their value and be sold at about $5, a drop to %10 of its initial value. Now, if a game with no DLC drops off by that much, imagine how cheap Modern Warefare 2 will be in 2015, when the servers go down and the DLC stops being sold. I would assume half of Modern Warefare 2 in 2015 would be cheaper than Metal Gear Solid 2 is now, when it stops being possible to enjoy the multiplayer component (like how Halo 2 lost its servers) and is no longer possible to buy the corresponding maps.
You know, I would like to see someone analyze why video games lose %90 of their value after only 5 years, and which companies are addressing the problem. It has to be the single most dramatic case of deflation in any industry, and is terrifying when compared to movies and music. Know any blogs that cover the subject?
Next stop i guess is the PS3.
with it being on a nintendo console, and remembering how much i dug trials hd, i couldnt help but think how cool it would be if nintendo and red lynx did a new uniracers for wiiware..

I gotta get back to Trials HD. It kind of got last in the shuffle. All those good action/adventure titles.
