Next Wednesday is going to be one phenomenal day for fans of Trials HD. Both the "Big Pack" add-on (400 Microsoft Points) and a free title update are going out then, and each looks to be doing some interesting things to change up the game.

The "Big Pack" downloadable content is packed full of stuff. We're getting 35 additional tracks, most of which are medium and hard difficulty levels; plus 23 racing tracks, made up of 12 medium, 9 hard, and 2 extreme. There's also 12 skill game tracks, 5 tournaments, and 50 physics objects.

New Achievements:

  • Piggyback (15G): Ride on top of a car in Dangerous Ride DLC track.
  • No Deal (15G): Bail out and land the rider inside a lucky box.
  • Look ma I can fly! (20G): Bounce 5 trampolines in succession in Skyway to reach new heights.

Yeah, I'm pretty much sold on this thing. You guys too? Make sure to check out what the update does by clicking through past the break.

The free title update is also sounding pretty hefty:

  • Ultimate Endurance tournament has been simplified, making the "Marathon" Achievement easier
  • Physics glitch for the "Down the Stairs" skill game is gone and rider handling is also improved
  • Leaderboard scores that are impossible to obtain legitimately have been erased
  • Minor bugs from player/tester feedback are fixed
  • Number of tracks users can save has been doubled

This game was super fun but super hard. I couldn't stop playing it... until I stopped playing it.

Once more into the breach as we try to pretend we don't care about leaderboard position while secretly tearing our body to pieces trying to shave every precious fraction of a second off our times.

LOVING the huge wad of content for a 5 spot, a commendable decision by RedLynx.

Shame we still don't get an all-user track sharing store of some sort (my only real gripe with this game), but otherwise, I'm beyond pleased.

There are puzzles in these videos. Just like the puzzles in the games. Someone needs to figure them out so I don't have to.

There are encrypted messages in both of the DLC trailers.
