Look, I'd tell you more about this new video walk-through from Atlus, but that kind of defeats the point of having narration in the video.
In the video you'll see surgery performed by mysterious character CR-S01, who is one of six you'll play as in the final game. It seems that CR-S01 did something bad a long time ago, and now he's serving a 250-year sentence. Who would want a really old criminal operating on them?
There's five other game modes for each character, including Forensics, First Response, Diagnosis, and Orthopedics. We revealed a bit about the Endoscopy part not too long ago.
The video does a good job of not only showing you what the game looks like, but also how it is controlled, with examples and diagrams. I expect that we'll hear more about the different procedures between now and April, when Trauma Team will be released on the Wii.

Love Trauma Center, but the video almost looks like they've dumbed it down. Which I appreciate, because I never got past some of the later Ops in the first 4 TC's, but things like removing the time limit really sort of kill the intensity of each level.
And yeah, the blood looks like jello, that's kind of stupid.
I'm flip-flopping between loving the removal of the time limit and hating it. The time-limit has frustrated me many a time, preventing me from completing surgeries that I'm just about to clear up. Though it kills the stress and adrenaline you get as the counter slowly gets closer to zero which was one of the driving forces of trying to get it done as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Looks good to me, Trauma Center has always been one of those games that makes me glad to own a Wii. That feeling you get when you have less than 30 seconds, but still have to remove one more piece of shrapnel, apply antibiotic, suture the wound, and bandage it, then somehow barely manage to succeed is highly satisfying.
I hope they make the surgeries even harder to make up for the lack of a time limit. TC has always been challenging because of the combination of tough procedures and the time limit, so I'm curious to see how its removal will effect the game.
That video was eh, but the game looks great. I played the DS original, but passed on Second Opinion and New Blood, so I'm thinking its finally time to pick up a Wii title.
Personally, I'm glad to see the time limit go. I was never able to beat the first game due to the insane difficulty of later procedures. I do hope they find ways to keep the game challenging, though.
Maybe they could have some kind of expert mode that would retain the timer (kind of like no-fail mode in Rock Band, in reverse)?
Interested to see what the other specialties will be like . . .
I think that the vitals alone would be a good enough time limit if used well. The time limit bugged me in the first game, even though I got used to it., but using vitals would be a much better way to go.

Still a day 1 for me.
