Transformers: Fall of Cybertron inspires new Bruticus toy photo

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron will feature a reimagining of the Combaticons and their combined alter-ego, Bruticus. Naturally, Hasbro is at the ready with a pocketful of plastic, and plans to release five new figures that can slot together and create the giant Decepticon gestalt.

Lord help me, I'll probably end up getting these. I'll at least get Vortex, as I always liked him.

Toys are respectable things for adults to buy.

No shame.

I just bought megatron and he is awesome!

Transformers are not toys. Honestly.

They're fun AND educational. Seriously, 9 outta 10 kids who had TF's grew up to be engineers. True story.

I got the Energon Bruticus Maximus set and the Fansproject add-ons for it. They were expensive, but they were totally worth it. I'll be sure to pick this up day one. I just hope that they make a Devestator combiner, too.

Why aren't they wearing any clothes? Are they trying to turn a new generation into technophiles who carry on love affairs with technology?! They had better not have rumble packs built into them!

Seriously,though(as serious as I can get while talking toys),weren't the Combaticons supposed to have been built by Starscream on Earth? Which canon is it going by? What does Fall of Cybertron's canon transform into?

It does look pretty good overall, I think Onslaught is a little lanky looking and it impacts the gestalt form, I had other (minor) nitpicks about looks for Swindle, but really these appear nice. Will I pick this set up? Oh hell yes. Will I bother with the PC version of Fall of Cybertron from 'CrapDivision' and their DRM laden turds? Nope. It was so annoying getting my PC Secure-ROMed on the Battle For Cybertron. Never again. I guess I could buy it for 360/PS3 or buy it and find a grey market solution. Or I could just vote with my dollar.

@Noaxzi: The fanmade accessories that are being produced are pretty awesome. Have you seen the Munitioner and Explorer figures made by Fansproject? Jim, go check those out now if you haven't seen them. You won't regret it.

We can only guess at the quality because stock photos tend to be all over the place and never make the figures look good. I'd hazard guess they sacrifice a lot though. I think I'm just spoiled by all the fan catering the unofficial projects have going on. Still though, this is the first combiner in ages that has 5 separate robots going into it at this scale.

@Faux Furry

Fall of Cybertron is part of the Prime universe, which is Hasbro's primary TF universe now.
