Hell yeah! This is splendid robot news. I'm absolutely sick of 1st and 3rd person shooters but this game most definately is getting a shot. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug.
Escalation is their 'horde' mode analogue, and it's not included in the demo. Only competitive multiplayer and the two single player levels mentioned. Conquest is, as Notorious mentioned, holding capture points for points.
Digging the ability to change firing arms. Little things but makes gunplay more dynamic. This is nitpicking but I wish levels where you fly were a bit more open. LIke huge open areas but with tons of perches etc. to make the combat interesting.
Hard really to gauge what was tweaked/improved until I get to play to full game. Hope it turns out well.

No PC demo, but at least they changed their mind and we're getting it. I don't think I'll be paying the $60 price tag and getting it on release, though. Unless I get a deal on GreenManGaming or something like I did for Borderlands 2 ($44, w00t!)
Not paying anywhere near full price for this since they took co-op out. Co-op in the first game for the PC was phenomenal. I don't need multiplayer robo-Call of Duty.

Ironically, the PC is the platform that NEEDS demos, and it never gets any until the game's been out for months.

Tip to those who haven't played it yet, to avoid unneeded frustration:
Avoid the "Destroyer" class. The only thing you'll destroy with it's horrible loadout is your sanity.

I don't know, I can't remember the last time I couldn't get a game to work on PC. Bigger deal for people on laptops, though, I guess. And look at how bad console releases can be now... I love the "but it just works on console!" argument when you have stuff like PS3 Skyrim that was broken for months after release. On PC we'd have at least been able to fix it ourselves.
This is one of many arguments for not buying games on PC *or* console day one, though. Let the beta testers errrr pre-order people deal with the problems first.

Still bummed they took co-op out of this...it seems like they did so just to make it more scripted from what I can tell in the demo. I'd rather have my buddies in than have to watch bumblebee pull himself up a ledge several times.
Woot, demo is out on PSN right now. I think the only reason I'm buying this is for the G1 Optimus pre-order perk.
