i'm renting it because it's Transformers and i have to play it.
i would have bought it (like i did for WfC) if they hadn't omitted online co-op for this.

I was presently surprised by the first game. Great quality entertainment from a property that in my opinion hasn't been getting quality treatment for the past few years. I'm definitely on board for this one.
Here's hoping the PC version isn't a horrible console port like the last one. But it's not likely :(

It was a port, but it was also only $40 at launch. I enjoyed it for what it was, and if you plugged in a 360 controller... well, same game for $20 less...?! This time it's being given to an outside group for 'porting' so hopefully it will turn out a bit better. Frankly I just want to play it, even if it's a very basic port.

Anyone know what the DRM is going to be for the PC version yet?

I had absolutely no issues with the PC version of the first game. It kicked the crap out of the console versions.

I just hope the have the host migration thing figured out on this. I guess not a big deal of you're playing with a party of friends - but annoying of you just want to jump in play a few quick rounds
But this games really looks like its amping everything it can to the nth degree.
A lot of hate from Bay anytime transformers comes up. But I wonder how does one makes a marginally grounded film that's basically meant to sell toys to kids a great experience? That's what these monies will be and that's what the series the movies were based on were about - a 30 show to sell kids toys. So with that as a hurdle where do you go? Hypothetically of course. And while we're at it, how do you keep the box G1 designs but also make it seem like these are living aliens from another planet (and comes across as such onscreen).
I think these hurdles are tougher than they appear.
