Activision has today revealed (via Game Informer, which is basically just a big press release these days) Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, a sequel to last year's War for Cybertron. Oh, and Dinobat fans are in for a treat, because Grimlock is a confirmed character!
Game Informer has two covers available for its upcoming reveal issue -- one with Grimlock, and another with Optimus Prime kneeling over a seemingly dead Bumblebee. Looks like things are going to get serious!
I loved War for Cybertron, and I trust High Moon Studios to deliver yet another hot Transformers title. I can't wait to see more, and I can only hope that if Grimlock's getting the love, we see some Insecticon fun on the Decepticon side. A guy can dream, anyway!

UGH SPOILERS DAMMIT
War For Cybertron was amazing.
As for Bumblebee, he's not dead in the pic, just hurt. If he was dead his optics would've gone out. Not to mention they can't kill off the kid friendly product placement character in the game. Can't sell toys off a dead character.
Cool story bro. Just shut up and buy the damn game when its released.
Nice one
There's actually 2 different origin stories for the Dinobots. One is the cartoon story, where they are created by Wheeljack after finding some dinosaur bones at the Ark crash site after an earthquake. In the Dreamwave series, the "Dynobots" are actually an elite special ops team led by Grimlock which he formed during the events of War Within. Personally I wish they had gone with the War Within route with his design since they have so much influence from that series in the game already.
This is excellent news.
Bulls**t preview?
Did I Stealth right?
Do something innovative or this time around please. Make transformers be a true powerhouse franchise not just another shooter.
Grimlock is so awesome.
Don't fuck it up, guys!
Multiplayer was rad though.
"Cool story, bro"-seriously you must be the person keeping Ohinternet around and still posting "The cake is a lie".
I merely made a comment based on the fact that the Dinobots had different Cybertronian alt modes at the time this game is based and were not earth based Dinosaurs. I'm not saying that it's ruined forever or they are raping my childhood, I'm just wondering aloud how they are going to write them in. IIRC, the last game ended with the Autobots talking about leaving Cybertron, so maybe they will have been to earth. I liked having a game based on Cybertron, but they designed it to look exactly the same everywhere, so IF they do end up with some battles on earth it will spice it up a bit.
I'm cool with them changing the origin of them on earth (coming to earth willingly instead of crash landing here), it's just that I kind of want to know which continuity it follows. Maybe after I finish reading Exiles I'll have a better understanding. (So far they know they will have to go to a blue planet surrounded by 7 others and orbiting a lone yellow sun in the book)
It's better than turning into a truck.
Seriously, so glad this game is getting a sequel. I shall wait patiently by my mailbox.
High Moon does Transformer games justice with this series.
Ah,who am I kidding? No Cyclonus, no buy.
They don't specifically follow any continuity.
That was really my biggest complaint. It was my own fault for playing it on PC and expecting a community to stick around, but good WFC multiplayer is incredibly fun. It actually led to games where I had to just stop afterwards because I knew it couldn't get better.
Community wasn't even around on the consoles to begin with...
Weird...
I will still play the crap out of it, but I will be sad.
@Isay Isay
Isn't much of a spoiler when it's going to be on the cover of Game Informer. It may not even make it into the game that way, the reason for the cover being that way is supposed to be to show how much darker the sequel will be.
@Cryotek
Dreamwave is another publisher who did a line of Transformers comics. The ones this series is more or less based on.
Also to semi-answer another one of your questions, in War For Cybertron one of the gigantic Decepticons (Trypticon, I believe -though I should know this having just replayed it recently) was pretty much a big old flying dragon type robot-thing.. So it's not completely out of the question for Grimlock to exist any way in this continuity... Problem is I don't know as much as I'd like to about the comics its based off of to say where he falls in on it, just that Dreamwave made them and they're fairly gritty like the game is.
though the fact at this point the transformers have no been to earth makes the fact he's a t-rex a bit strange.
