If you can't get enough of one of the most ingeniusly obvious slices of pure, undistilled marketing that has ever been created, you might like to know that Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga is on the way, due to arrive for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and Nintendo DS. Of course, you'll be wanting a trailer, but fear not, you're covered. Click above for glorious game advertisment in all its many wonders.
Bringing together all six Star Wars movies, this is basically a game you'll play half of, blissfully ignoring the first three episodes, for George Lucas is a pretentious sparrow toucher who just stuck the title Episode IV on the end of the first movie in order to look clever. Well he's not clever, he's a big idiot.
Back on track, it looks like this'll be more of the same, with a lot more packed in than before. That wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.

Meet the rest of the team
Note: A new hope was just called Star Wars when it was released as it was presumed it was going to fail. Don't slag the Lucas off or him and his band of merry Ewoks will hunt you down and throw small rocks at you.
According to IGN, one of the new levels will be the Zam Wessel chase from Ep 2. That implies that the rest of the level will be from the previous two Lego Star Wars games.
And I know the 360 and Ps3 versions are to offer online multiplayer.
I never bought Lego Star Wars 2, so it looks like now I wont have to.
I'll stick with LSWII. I don't need to be reminded of what we anxiously waited for back in the late 90's and early 00's with Episode 1-3.
Besides, I'm not even 50% done with LSWII. When do they expect me to finish and then start on this one?
Let me remind everyone, that the 360 version of LSWII is $20, and is the better half of the septupolgy. And most of you will be able to relate to the humor better since it (the real episode 4-6) wasn't trying to be cute or funny unlike the later films.
For those of you knocking the prequels and the lego game associated with them, you are dead wrong.
If you prefer the OT over the PT or not, there is no arguing that the PT makes for a good action game. Playing as Grievous, Darth Maul, and Yoda is something you wont get without the PT, and it's pretty fun.
Lego Star Wars 1 makes the PT look good, and stands up as a game on it's own.
Tron Knotts is absolutely correct, despite how much the prequels sucked, the first game was still a blast. They're updating those levels to bring them in line with the gameplay improvements made in Lego Star Wars 2 as a nice bonus. Plus, online co-op for the PS3 and 360. If you know any kids you want to game with (or even a non-gamer friend who digs Star Wars), these games are essential.
I'm really hoping they don't bork the DS version this time around though.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
How many franchises must die?

I'd say the same thing, if they weren't going to the trouble of adding new content and features. :)
