Trademark points to Ni no Kuni's US name photo

Level-5 filed a trademark for Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch in here in the US, which sounds a lot like the Japanese name for the beautiful PS3 game. We've heard that there's a matching European trademark, too. That's far from confirmation of a US release, but I feel good about it. It's too good of a thing to pass on in any territory.

Speaking of passing on games, Siliconera says that the trademark applies to the PS3 game, and not the DS title we've all been wanting. Balls.

There is a typo at the end of the first line, which should say lot not lto. And then two words after that it should be the instead of he.
Just pointing it out. :)

Call it "Sony's Niche-Reminds-me-of-Pokemon-but-in-HD" title for all I care. Just give me the game! Looks amazing. Art style is beautiful, gameplay looks very interesting, etc. I've always loved Studio Ghibli and Level-5 so seeing them work together... 60 dollars, right? Take it.

Have you seen the Ni No Kuni DS manual book? It's friggin huge!! If they were to translate all that, that would take hundreds of hours!!... Or only a few days, I don't know. But, i'm guessing that's one of the reasons why the PS3 version is announced sooner than the DS version. Still, bring on both!! I already decided to buy both on launch ever since they were announced, and because I've been playing a lot of niche games lately.

The DS version is nothing short of amazing. I have a Japanese copy and seriously, the book that comes with it must be what is holding back any localization because it is 350 color pages of spells, weapons, armor, beasts, maps, stories and lots more. And it's hardbound. And it's beautiful. The game itself has A LOT of recorded dialogue as well, so that could be slowing it also. Hopefully we will hear about both version being confirmed for US release at Level-5's event in a couple of weeks!!!

It was hard enough having to deal with the dumb shit of Jimmyx; but now we have to deal with Thunder Monti as well?

Do they go to the same (grade) school? Are they both disgruntled game developers taking their rage out on video game fans through relentless trolling? Or are they members of some international terrorist operation and this is some form of cyber terrorism?

I feel like there is an interesting, and potentially tragic, story behind these individuals...

I'm super happy we're probably getting the PS3 version, but that DS game seriously needs to come too. I've heard nothing but how fantastic it is.

That's exciting! Would be cool to get the DS game as well but I was more interested in the PS3 game anyway.

They aren't releasing the DS version because of the cart size. Similar to ASH, these games use the super big cart and it's to costly to produce here in America.

Sucks that this is the case, but unfortunately its the way it is. PS3 version sounds awesome though!

How was the US release even in question? Ponce even posted it last month.

Even though I'm sure Thunder Monti is a parody/clone account of the original Mon Thunder (since Mon got banned), but the persona is still annoying, so ban him too please. Take Jimmy with him.

Wow, this game looks breathtaking. Not sure why anyone would prefer a handheld experience over the console one, but I'm glad the full game getting a release!
