I've been looking into buying more gaming action figures lately (which is a good excuse to plug Tomopop), and I think I just found my latest must-buy. It was a given that Gears of War action figures were on their way, but I didn't expect them to be quite this awesome. While certainly not a toy you could do much actual playing with, this Locust in the midst of having his head exploded is still going to look awesome on any gamer's shelf. Action Figure Insider has a wealth of photographs of the (not final, I believe) new Gears toys, which include Marcus, Dom, Baird, Cole, a Locust sniper and a Theron Guard. Oh, and Mr. Melonhead here, of course. I'm not one to count his chickens before they hatch, but I'm pretty secure in the knowledge that I won't find a more amazing action figure today.

I pre-ordered the whole set last month. The heads are interchangable I believe, so Mr. Melonhead will have different characters packaged with him. :p
I wanted to know how many points of articulation it has. Oh and if anyone is wondering, NCEA is making these.

That's a very impressive toy. Looks like my Gambit throwing his awesomeness flaming card will have to move over. Or maybe I should get a stable job before buying toys...
