I've been looking into buying more gaming action figures lately (which is a good excuse to plug Tomopop), and I think I just found my latest must-buy. It was a given that Gears of War action figures were on their way, but I didn't expect them to be quite this awesome.
While certainly not a toy you could do much actual playing with, this Locust in the midst of having his head exploded is still going to look awesome on any gamer's shelf. Action Figure Insider has a wealth of photographs of the (not final, I believe) new Gears toys, which include Marcus, Dom, Baird, Cole, a Locust sniper and a Theron Guard. Oh, and Mr. Melonhead here, of course.
I'm not one to count his chickens before they hatch, but I'm pretty secure in the knowledge that I won't find a more amazing action figure today.

Even though I didn't like Gears (I KNOW!) that toy is sweet.
I wanted to know how many points of articulation it has. Oh and if anyone is wondering, NCEA is making these.
