Toys R Us rewards you for buying Mario Galaxy with a $25 Gift Card photo

As some of you may already know, Toys R Us is tempting customers with the promise of a $25 Gift Card if you purchase Super Mario Galaxy at one of their retail stores. If you're going to get it (and you aren't already standing in a line somewhere waiting for guys dressed like Mario to prance around and try to grope you "accidentally") you may as well go this route, unless you have a vendetta against Toys R Us or something.

This tip was actually via Cheap Ass Gamer as a part of a regular feature they do called Best of the Sunday Ad Video Game Deals. I'm terrible at checking that kind of stuff when it's buying time as I tend to head into the wild with nothing in mind but acquisition of the momentary title of lust, but if you like a good deal it's a great resource to check before you head out to do your weekend shopping. Damn that Cheapy D for being so practical AND sexy!

Yup. I pre-ordered it already. You also qualify for the coin, so it's a pretty good deal.

I'm shocked that they would do this, I'm still thinking there are some hidden stipulations with the card? Like you have to spend it on a purchase at least $75 or more...something lame like that. If not I'm totally doing this.

As far as I can tell-in Puerto Rico- you have to get the game on Tuesday, after 5pm, and you can't use the gift card the same day.

That's about it for stipulations. Essentially, if they close at 10, you only have a 5 hour window to get it.

I'm still really worried there's some loophole that I'm missing.

Damn, what's annoying is that there are no Toys R Us stores nearby, and I already reserved it at Gamestop for the free coin.

Here are the details:

- The game is guaranteed to be in stock by Tuesday 11/13/07 @ 5:00pm, but it may come in earlier. The promo offer will officially start on 11/11/07. If somehow you are able to purchase it earlier than 11/11/07 you will not get the $25 gift card.

- If you preorder the game you are guaranteed the game & coin at pick up for up to 2 weeks after its release date of 11/12/07

- You are also able to get a $25 gift card if you pick up the game between 11/11 & 11/17. The promo offer for the gift card starts on Sunday 11/11/07 and ends Saturday 11/17/07.

- Since the preorder slip is a coupon, those worrying about not getting a $25 gift card for preordering need not worry and will be getting a $25 gift card if you pick up the game between the dates listed above.

- Make sure to bring both your preorder slip and receipt when you go to pick up your game. If you only have the preorder slip, then it is VOID and you may end up paying full price and will not receive a coin.

I forgot one other thing.

- You will only be able to use the gift card during your next visit to the store.
