Sony may get a lot of things wrong, but one cannot deny that the PlayStation Network has been firing on all cylinders, with some truly interesting, unique and fun titles hitting the downloadable content platform. From Flower to Magic Ball, there are all sorts of neat games, and now we know which titles have been selling the most this month. Unfortunately, the PSN's best games have given way to the worst. Why must the general public insist on enjoying puerile sh*t?
Terrific titles like Flower miss out to the absolutely awful Rag Doll Kung Fu, which takes the top spot. This is before the game was released for free, meaning that people actually bought the rotten thing. The more respectable Worms is at number two, while Wheel of Fortune, of all things, seizes number three. Flower is at number four.
There's no Pixeljunk or Echochrome, which is a shame because those titles are truly what sets PSN apart from XBLA. One would hope that PS3 fans would be more discerning, but ah well. Hit the jump for the top ten sales.
- Rag Doll Kung Fu
- Worms
- Wheel of Fortune
- Flower
- Mortal Kombat II
- Comet Crash
- Ratcher & Clank Future: Quest for Booty
- Linger in Shadows
- PAIN
- Noby Noby Boy

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Other titles I'm enjoying include Age of Booty and Burn Zombie Burn. I like the variety and pricing of most of these titles so far. Keep it coming, Sony.
"one would hope that ps3 fans would be more discerning"
Your articles are always dripping with bias, man. I will refrain from making one of many anti-xbox fanboy slams. Is that discerning enough for you?
this chart is balls
i just figure all the best games get bought immediately by the masses and bask in one giant week or two of great sales and the lesser titles own the long run records. r&c saw that price drop and is seeing good sales and that a really fun game, it felt like just the right size for the money.

Flower FTW
Maybe he's burned out after 10 years of Smash Brothers? That doesn't mean that Rag Doll Kung Fu will have more staying power than a few months, however.
Also, @shinryu I just bought SSF2THD :P
I also want to really buy Flower, I may buy it. All the Pixeljunk game are addictive I'm amazed they aren't up there.
Worms is also addicting, but MK2 I bought and played for a few days and got bored.
Pain sucks so hard it could take the paint off your house from across the street!
Noby Noby Boy is a game for stoners, you'd have to be so freaking high to enjoy it.
A giant multicolored penis you stretch out until it breaks... but I digress.
There should definitely be more Pixel Junk and The Last Guy on there!
Flower is flat out remarkable, and I'm glad I bought it..
The one thing that I hate about the PSN set up is that there are only demos for certain games. After having XBL for so long, and enjoying a fuck load of arcade games I expect to get a chance to try everything before I buy it...And if I had that chance with some of the lesser known PSN games I bet I would have far more than the 12-14 titles I have.
