Top chiptune talent teams up with Ubiktune for charity

Noisechan & Nugget: Adventures in Chiptunes

We love Ubiktune. And now there's an even bigger reason to check out their upcoming release titled Noisechan & Nugget: Adventures in Chiptunes. An array of secret chiptune artists are joining forces with Noise Channel's creator and host, Kristi "TrueStar" Kaufman, to put together what's sure to be one of the biggest chiptune releases of the year. While the artists involved haven't been revealed, you can probably bet that Jake "virt" Kaufman will be on board.

There's a brief preview video (above) showing off what the album is about, although you won't have to wait long for the April 11 release date on Ubiktune and Badncamp for name-your-own-price. All revenues generated will be donated to the Child's Play charity, so now you'll feel super bad if you don't pitch in any dough. And it should be worth "chipping" in some cash for. Noise Channel is also hosting a listening party for the album prior to the official release if you're interested.

Any wish lists for artists you'd like to see featured? Is this a charity effort you can get behind?
