Forget Carmen Sandiego, I wanna know whatever happened to some of my favorite games of yesteryear. ScrewAttack's latest list, the “Top 10 big names that fell off,” raises the nostalgia meter by counting down games that went missing for one reason or another.
If I have to suffer through rehash after rehash of nothing new being added except for an updated roster or more missions for the same war I've already won in the 5 previous games, then is it too much to ask for another Vectorman or Act Raiser?
It's a sad sight to see fantastic games such as these slip off into video game history, never to be played by younger gamers. Instead, kids today will have to settle for the neverending saga of Mega Man.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied: "bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Chrono Trigger had Chrono Cross, but they definitely need to bring that series back. More importantly, can I get a hell yeah for Vectorman? I loved that game.
silent hill has seemed to bite the dust...never heard of any more titles coming out in that series. probably my favorite horror series right after resident evil
Good call on Adventure Island. But the franchise I want back: Punch-Out. Period. Screw Fight Night and Knockout Kings. How bout a next-gen Bear-Hugger? Eh, eh?
I was a fan of Adventure Island. It was the first NES game that I purchased, so it holds a special place in my gaming heart. 1,2 & 3 were good, but I remember Super Adventure Island being pretty lame.
Actraiser was fucking great, but they showed one of my favorites and didn't even touch on it; Aero the Acrobat. The first one was so much fun, the second one was iffy, but I would have loved to continue playing Aero on a portable.
One of my favorite RPGs, Dragon Force. I can still play that game even now for hours on end. Anyone ever play it? I played it for my Sega Saturn, but they also released it for the PS.
Actually, its Faxanadu. @_@

Some games are best left without sequels though. Would a new Chrono Trigger really live up to your expectations? Or a Kid Icarus?
It's been so long for a lot of these that no matter how bad or good the sequels are, they just wouldn't be able to meet your expectations. Some classics aren't even as great as you may remember them to be, like when you have an ex-girlfriend who you cant stop thinking about but in reality that bitch was annoying as hell.
Yea Vectorman!! Seriously though..I'd want a new X-Wing game like the old skewl space sim days, or a new Monkey Island game. Lucas Arts, pull your head outta your ass!
Isn't Adventure Island a complete rip off of Wonder boy? From the footage shown it looks like it anyway. Black Tiger should have been on that list specially since Castlevania is still popular and there have been only one Black Tiger game.
Here's the list for those that can't watch the video:
10.Bubsy
9. Ecco
8. Vectorman
7. Adventure Island
6. Keith Courage
5. The Legend of the Mystical Ninja
4. Wizards & Warriors
3. Blaster Master
2. Chrono Trigger
1. Act Raiser
Chrono Trigger was one of the best SNES games, wait, one of the best RPGs I have ever played. Square Enix should do that along with pumping out the money machine that is the FF series.

Chrono Cross didn't happen...or at least that's what I tell myself.
There were 2 Vectorman Games
skies of arcadia was a damn good game.... it kind of fell off with the dreamcast, though they did re release it on gamecube
speaking fo dreamcast, whatever happened to shenmue?
I also have the GameBoy Color Blaster Master. Hard as FUCK, but a solid game.
Keith Courage and the Alpha Zones
Both on the T-16.
What? They've made like 4, theres a PSP one now or at least coming, and theres a new next gen one coming as well.

i know there are 4 but they are pretty great and i hadn't heard of a next gen one. duely noted though and thanks for the insight
and whens that gonna hit the VC for crying out loud.
There DEFINITELY needs to be another X-Wing game. I wore out two joysticks playing that. Awesome
Kudos to the ScrewAttack fellows for putting Actraiser at number one. Those games were awesome, but who was hoping for another Bubsy?
I do agree there needs to be another ActRaiser though. ActRaiser 2 didn't count. >.>
And Illusion of Gaia had a sequel, too. Terranigma. And that was the last in a trilogy (Soul Blazer/Gaia/Terranigma).
