Tooie screenies from Banjo-Threeie photo
     Platform games

I think the real story here is that we haven't posted the tantalizing new screenshots of Rare's Banjo-Threeie sooner. Still, better late than never, and if you're one of the ... one ... gamers that haven't seen these two lovely images yet, this post is for you!

My sources in Rare are very excited about Banjo-Threeie and are pretty much saying that this is going to put the British studio back on the map. While Rare's pedigree has fallen in the eyes of gamers over the years, it is believed that this one is going to remove all doubts that the developer is a  duke of platforming fun. I've also heard it sh*ts all over Mario 64.

As with Mirror's Edge, it's truly exhilarating to see bright colors and some original art direction in a game. Threeie looks like it's bursting at the seams with character, and that's something we could stand to enjoy a lot more of in this current generation.

Of course, looks aren't everything, and we'll have to see if the gameplay can match the visuals. I've heard wonderful things though, and have a good feeling about it. Time, like an Austrian daughter, will tell in the end.

Speed Racer had the most color EVER. I don't think anything can top that amount of color.

DO WANT this though...fuck...I need a 360...

So it shits all over Mario 64?

That's cool, but why would they try to shit on a decade old game? I mean, Mario Galaxy shits on Mario 64. Will Banjo now be running all over planetoids?

Nothing can have more color than Viva Pinata. That whole game is a clusterfuck of neon and saturation.

I must have been the one person who hasn't already seen these. You mean other people go to other sites in addition to Destructoid? As far as I'm concerned, if you guys don't tell me about it, then it didn't happen.

Put the brtish company BACK on the map?
I hate to correct you, Jim(and in your own article) but, while Perfect Dark Zero and Kameo may have left a bit to be desired on the quality front, Viva Pinata was one of the finest games released in 2006.

Banjo 3 will be a traditional Banjo platformer with the usual emphasis on collecting things...except this time the parts you collect from the story mode can be used to build a unique vehicle for online racing.

You heard it here first: XBL= Banjo-Kart

Considering Mario 64 is a gazillion years old, that comment hardly means shit.

I think the real story here is how you neglected to say that banjo 3 will be a KART RACIN GAEM.

Fuck you, Rare

Colour is good. I just hope RARE have learnt to relax since Kameo. That shit was overly busy most of the time.
