Too Human haters 'don't get it' according to Dyack photo

With Too Human's release date fast approaching, it seems that Denis Dyack's mouth is running into overdrive. According to Silicon Knights' chief demagogue, people who dislike Too Human only do so because the game is far too innovative and amazing for their tiny brains to comprehend.

"What we're also seeing is for the people who don't like it, generally just don't get it." explains Dyack, kindly telling me why I hated the demo. "And it's because we've created something so innovative and different. It's ironic, it just shows that human nature of if you don't understand something, you immediately attack it. It's pretty interesting in that regard."

That HAS to be the reason, Denis. We are just too stupid to comprehend the greatness that is Too Human, and if we don't like it, it's because we fear the terrifyingly brilliant changes that Too Human has made to the action genre -- such innovation as loot drops, character classes, leveling up and bad camera angles. No game has EVER featured such inventive magnificence before. You're turning this industry on its head, Dyack!

Color me a convert, and a man now happily willing to bow before Denis Dyack's almighty lecturn. I just had no idea Too Human was so innovative that the human mind is yet to evolve to a point where it can appreciate such complexity. Also, nobody understood the innovation that was Lair, either.

Did...did Denis Dyack just call me a racist for not liking his game? Because that's really what it sounded like.

Sorry Mr. Dyack. Sorry that with the Iraq War, Russia vs. Georgia, China and the Olympics, global warming, etc. etc...with all that, sorry that we don't have time and energy to learn your fucking "innovative and different" game that is so chock full of depth and complexity that you need a fucking PhD to play it. FUCKING SORRY.

Geez.

Actually Christina, if I spent ten years making 10 hours of gameplay that was reflected by that demo, I'd have listened to the testers that said 'This control scheme sucks.' I'd have listened to the consumers and adjusted certain aspects to be more comfortable and enjoyable *cough*controls*cough*.

Instead, Penis Dycrack said 'Fuck the consumer, they're a bunch of retard trying to attack something as awesome as a Conan movie'... Which Too Human is not. Conan was a way better movie than Too Human is a game... Fuck, I'd rather watch Ishtar than play that demo again.

While I will not say that the game is innovative or anything like that I enjoyed the demo. Had 0 issues with the controls or the camera and as far as reviews go, well lol, Let's look at these motards that review games for a living 97 for age of conan, 55 for Crackdown, 60's for Klingon Academy, the list goes on and on. If you like a game play it, if you don't then do not play it. Reviewers don't know their ass from a hole in the ground.

It's rare that I'm ever able to justifiably and accurately use the word "aghast" to describe my current state at any given moment, but such a moment is now.

I honestly cannot believe what a huge, wanking dick Denis Dyack is. Are all game developers turning into whiny, egomaniacal prats? I don't care how much time Denis spent on this game, what I've seen of it is just pathetic. He really needs to be held accountable for wasting ten years of development. Too Human is generic and lackluster in every possible way (save for, possibly, the concept) as far as I can tell.

Denis, take it like a decent human being. You fucked up. You made an average game. Move on.

Seriously, does Silicon Knights not have a PR department? And if they do, why do they keep letting this guy say things?

Too Human is like so many games I've been seeing nowadays.... the "oh what could have been" games. And the developer is like so many other developers I've been seeing nowadays.... the "you don't like my game so you suck" developers.

The absurdity of this Dyack character finally inspired me to create an account and add my two cents. Denis Dyack = Bill O'Reilly of video games?

There's multiple camera styles. Try the Strategic one. If you don't like it, THEN complain.

FUCKERY?

Seriously. Did he really just say that? I think he just said that...

This guy has a bigger ego on his games then Peter Molowhatshisname. Fable guy. It's insane that he can call everyone stupid and his house doesn't get burnt down YESTERDAY.

I agree with Denis. You have to play the game for what the game is and not fight with it to make it something that it is not.

If you don't like it fine but don't call the game broken because you are incapable of learning or unwilling to learn an "out of the norm" control scheme.

And yes, if you are stating the game is broken, then "you didn't get it."

Ok... I signed up just to post to the whole too human biz going on. First.. Denis is probably the most arrogant arse in video game history. Second Too Human has to be critiqued on several levels. First of all... over all... it's garbage. BUT.. dig deeper and forgive Denis's god complex forcing them to design a new engine because learning how to use UR3 was beneath him... and you have alot of good ideas laying the framework. The valkyrie scene is annoying... but I'll take it.. I'm a recovering Evercrack addict. The Camera... well... it looks like the artists group designed it instead of the gameplay group. It happens.. The game would play ten times better if it allowed you to set custom control schemes. (They should ask thier financiers if they can use Fable's camera and controls... they would work and though not perfect in and of themselves... would be bettter.) So far... so bad... the music, sound, and ambiance is stunning, however. It's definately an art-lover's game. (Too bad Denis isn't as humble about his work as REAL artists are.) The storyline is dramatic, and although told through some fairly poor voice acting (I was waiting for Baldur to say... "I'll be back.") it's really a good one and I would have loved to see the story through. Its a shame the series is dead, mostly because of the way the developer has treated his players. You don't bite the hand that feeds you.. and he just about swallowed the whole arm.
