I'd usually try to halfheartedly summarize what we're going to be talking about for tonight's Podtoid, but Samit already did that for me in a (previously) private email:
Long story short: Samit is much more organized and prepared than I am (I never did remember what I wanted to talk about). We still need listener questions, though, so hit the jump and start asking them.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I recently discovered that the bumbling reindeer in The Santa Clause 2 was named Chet. Clearly this is the most egregious misnaming in the history of film. Who is the most misnamed character in gaming?
Topher, what are the odds of hte beedog's adventure in journalism getting picked up by a tv show.
Linde if are on, do you feel anything special playing a game for the first time in your new place? I also wanted to know how many times you have beaten mother 3.
Mushihimesama Futari, who on the cast imported/has played it? I am very content with spending $80 for it cause it is glorious.
If each member of the cast could recommend 1 or 2 games they think people may have missed this year because they aren't "zomg amazing" but bring some interesting ideas to the table or are enjoyable, what would they be?
I know an avalanche of lists are coming at this time of year but this isn't really a list. What are some of this year's unsung heroes?
Pardon typo as this is from an iPhone...
Why "Pineapple Soda"?
The taste, the sound, random awesomeness?
Otherwise, talk about how many lives were lost in the making of that list, and other insider secrets.
Oh, and are there any games that have come out in the 00's that you would like to see a reboot/remake/redesign/etc of already? With Max Payne seemingly having a huge redesign and shake up, as well as Mass Effect (ME2 is darker and grittier, right?), 2010 could have potential to change things around for better or worse.
...Aaaand just to round it off, if you could exist as an NPC, vital or not, in a gaming universe, which would it be?
What videogame do you feel has had the greatest emotional pull/impact on you as a player, either due to events occurring related to other developed characters in the story, or in some thing like half-life where you can get pretty immersed in the character your playing and the events that occur around him/her? What do you feel was a primary factor in creating that emotional attachment?
Also cocks.
Oh yeah, and I want to hear Samits thoughts on Robocop immediately.
Because soup would leak out the fork part dummy!
Actually, do any of you play online often? I haven't really heard much about you all going around and shooting people with 1887's.
my game would be Super Mario World. she's always got more lives than me, and has to bail me out when I've died.
I mean, in sequels everything is pretty much kept similar, but with improvements/changes to gameplay and setting/plot/characters. However, in stuff like Mario Golf, the mario team is just plastered on because nintendo couldn't think of anything better to do.
Is this considered recycling characters, or just taking a preexeisting world in a different direction? ( I mean, look at Ico and SOTC)
I read about an example of this in the cblogs. Perhaps Destructoid could investigate (a lot of people seem concerned).

2. EA has said that they would consider a sequel for The Saboteur if the game sells well. What are your collective thoughts on sequels being handled by production companies other than the original (Bioshock 2, Okamiden, KOTOR 2, etc)? No big deal/Different perspective helps, or should the properties be left to the people who "birthed them"? For those on the "No big deal" side of the fence, how would you feel if a non-Ueda team handled a game in the Ico/Colossus franchise?
