I've been pretty vocal about not being a huge fan of Tomb Raider: Underworld, but even I can admit when I see something being done right. If this trailer for the upcoming content, Beneath the Ashes, is any indication, this is certainly downloadable content being done right.

Beneath the Ashes adds an entirely fresh story, including a new area, and different ways to utilized the game's existing gameplay. Best of all, the new content reveals some creepy caverns beneath a Croft Manor ravaged by fire -- we're talking torture devices and other frightening (and kinky-looking) mechanisms. Perhaps the the Croft's have a long history of ... experimenting.

The DLC will be exclusive to the Xbox 360, and is set to be available on February 12. Pricing has yet to be announced, but retailer GameStop will be selling a "Tomb Raider Underworld Expansion Pack" for $19.99, which contains two codes redeemable on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. If that's any indication, 800 MS Points each for Beneath the Ashes and the forthcoming Lara's Shadow (set for a March 10 release) seems likely.

I didn't bother finishing Tomb Raider after the stupid game glitched a checkpoint and forced me to replay an hour long level. And I got the PC version, so it's not like I would have actually bought the stupid content even if I had the option.
