Full 1080p (not upscaled), off-tv play fully supported etc.. This is definitely gonna be a must have once the Wii U is here.
I got it.saved on my phone ^_^ I was just checking my apps for updates...
Btw, PC version will have a level editor according to the Steam page:
"For the first time in Two Tribes' history we will launch a game with a level editor included, thanks to Steam Workshop!"
And my sarcasm wasn't "oh what a crap game" so much as making fun of the WiiU's lack of exclusive AAA system-selling software. 100% lack of.
@Jinx
"System-selling software" is arbitrary. ZombiU has already sold me a console, and I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way about other games. It's all about opinion.
Yeah, but a "system seller" is generally a higher-budget AAA first-party exclusive that freaking *everyone* wants. Sure, there are a variety of games for the system and some might motivate people to buy it. But in a broad sense I don't see any game emerging as a central OMFGZ MUST BUY WII-U FOR THIS game that has everyone jumping up and down excited about. There is no game that meets the industry definition of the term, really. All I see is a bunch of games I would rather play on a system that didn't have gimmick controller that would be annoying to use.
Now imagine there was a new Metroid game coming at launch that made clever use or the controller. Or if Watch Dogs or Star Wars 1313 was a Wii-U exclusive. That would get a lot more people ready to commit to the system.
I'm not saying it WON'T have any major games like that, but launching without one big flagship title seems like a mistake to me.
like super Mario Galaxy (12.11.2007) ?
or you mean Uncharted (16.11.2007) ?
or Gears of War (06.11.2006) ?
or Halo 3 (25.09.2007) ?
The games you mentioned were released one year after the console launch (except Mario64 and Halo 1), what killer apps did the Ps3 have at launch ? Resistance...yeah
And what did the 360 have ? Perfect Dark Zero....and Kameo...
Give the Wii U AT LEAST a year to get a game that meets your elitist AAA standard before complaining and bringing in weak arguments.
I think we have to remember that console launches are usually underwhelming. Where has Halo 3 for Xbox 360 ? Did we convenientially forget that Unreal Engine 3 didn't even debut until a year later with Gears of War ?. Where was God of War 3, Gran Turismo, or Ratchet & Clank for PS3's launch ? Wii showed off Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime, but those games were also not available at launch or even launch window. It's often slim pickings for good quality titles in the first 6 or so months of a next-gen console's release. Why? Cause first-party devs need to spread out their titles as best they can while third-parties are a bit slower to release games unless they're ports.
Wii U's launch lineup is actually quite good when you compare it to the Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3's. Let's not forget that Wii U is in a unique position in that its being released late in an extended generation so that it will naturally obtain a mix of late generation current-gen ports as well as full-fledged next-gen titles. The situation that comes with producing games for an nex-gen platforms means we often get games that do not appear on the hardware from current-gen titles released at the same time during the holiday season. It's to be expected, but it will only get better once third-parties have a chance to get more familiar with the hardware and greenlight projects with the Wii U support in mind from the get-go.
