Today's Steam deals: Cheap Arkham Asylum, DA:O, and more photo

Steam has kicked off its holiday sale today with a slew of great deals. Every day, from now until Monday, a new set of discounted games will become active. It's not like your eyes aren't already glued to your monitor anyway, so no biggie.

The three most important deals appear to be Dragon Age: Origins at $37.49, Batman: Arkham Asylum at $24.99, and the super ridiculous 18-game (including expansions) THQ pack at $49.99.

It'll be interesting to see how crazy Steam goes this year with the deals. You can be sure it's only going to get more insane as the days go by.

I am such a rabid game buyer I own most of these already, but Osmos for $2 is nice.

I hope the coming deals this weekend are just as awesome as these, but on games I do not own!

So pumped. Does anyone know if these deals are cumulative until the last day? Meaning, will I still be able to get these deals tomorrow in addition to whatever they unveil then?

Also, wow. That THQ pack is a biggie. It's worth the $50 for those three Company of Heroes games alone.

Last comment, to answer my own question, it does seem like the deals are cumulative. On Steam the deals all say they last through Monday the 30th.

Motherfucker, never mind, I was wrong. Some are cumulative and some aren't. The packs all have deals lasting until Monday, but the individual games only have deals for today.

God damn.

I hope the rumors of L4D 2 for 30 bucks on Friday are true. It would save me a depressing trip to GameStop.

Picked up Far Cry 2 and Osmos. That Lucas Arts pack is damn tempting, since I only have 2 of those games. I'll have to wait and see what other ridiculous sales are available for the rest of the week before grabbing it.

Yikes, seems like a great chance to get Batman Arkham Asylum. I played the demo and was amazed of how well made it was.

Already have DAO and Batman, so I won't be buying anything this sale.

I picked up Osmos for $2, I'd have loved to pick up Batman but it just not in the budget (especially when AC2 wasn't in the budget but I just bought that anyway this afternoon)

Steam is saving my full CC info now. I can buy games off it with a couple clicks. This is scary. Just got Osmos for now at least =X.

Wow @ the mega THQ bundle. WOW. I'm gonna buy it now even though I won't play them until next Thanksgiving. Too good to pass up.

Went ahead and bought Osmos for $2. Hell, I've bought shittier games for more, so why not? And I'm contemplating the THQ deal but just in case.. I'll wait until Sunday/Monday to make sure nothing else is somehow even a better deal.

Osmos for me.

Osmos is pretty ass. I don't know who thought killing yourself when moving was a good idea, but it's not, especially for a game that is supposed to be relaxing.

Even though barely any of the games interest me, the THQ pack is such a good deal that it tempts me.
