Time stops, TimeShift demo appears on Live, scares the neighbor's cat photo

Without warning, the Saber Interactive developed TimeShift has appeared on Xbox Live. Weighing in at 582 MB, the demo will give players a chance to go hands on with the experimental Beta Suit, which will allow them to stop, slow, and reverse time.

I went hands on with the PlayStation 3 version of the title at this year's E3, and my interest was slightly piqued with the how the game weaved the suit's various abilities into the gameplay. Even more impressive was the fact that the developers had actually entirely scrapped a previous version of the game -- one that was essnentially finished -- and started over again ... nearly from scratch.

It'll be intresting to see if the time, money, and effort that went into re-imagining TimeShift has been worth the effort. Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3 versions of the game ship later this year.

Poor Timeshift.

You've been downloaded but I'm too busy re-playing THAT OTHER FPS called "Game of the Year".

It never ceases to amaze me how the video game industry tends to run around in circles, throwing money away.

I remember playing a demo of the scrapped version in an EB Games back when the 360 first came out. I also remember it wasn't very good, so it's probably wise that they redesigned it. However, I have a feeling this will be one of the titles that gets forgotten during the glut of releases around the holidays.

NHL 08 is also out, I'm not very into hocky but EGM gave it 9.5 and said that it is so good it could even make hockey relevant again. I mean that's got to be a good hockey game if it will make jaded hockey fans enjoy the sport after that huge strike debacle.

Just got finished playing this demo and I have to say one thing: slow-motion exploding crossbow.

That is all.
