Our interest in Junction Point's Wii-exclusive
Epic Mickey has reached a feverish pitch. You see that? That's my ears bleeding from all of the screeching going on around the office over this thing. Relax, people!
I mean, we don't know much about the game, outside of what we've gleaned from the various bits of info floating around on the Internet. The latest issue of Game Informer will have all of the details, though, along with the first images of the actual game (we can only hope).
We've had to settle for leaked concept art and now... well, more art. Above is the end result from a time-lapse video of a Junction Point character artist sketching Mickey and a "potential" enemy that could appear in the game, a robotic Beetleworx.
Because the GameInformer.com video embed doesn't work (I don't know why -- I'm a writer, not an Internet scientist), I went ahead and spoiled it for you with the above image. But I would suggest checking out the full video because the music is totally epic.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
What I love them of using this design is that it would make the enemies have more charm because they would look cringing strange. Mickey being the contrast is powerful.
You're joking, right? You just decided to troll in here, correct? I'm hoping to God you're not that narrow-minded.
@Epik Kewlne55 - Jealous much? And its not even a very good or clever insult. Also your elitism isn't welcome here either.
Yeah you could cry all you want about it but your argument could be countered by saying there's nothing but idiots on 360 anyways - they don't give a rat's ass about Mickey. They just want to shoot anything that moves. PS3 there's more of a broad range there. Either way the reason it isn't coming to those is quite evident. Motion technology is NOT standard on either.
Really.
I hope my GameInformer comes in already...
it's been a long time I've been so hyped for a game that hasn't even shown actual game screens yet.
Wow! Its people like you, who are ruining the gaming industry, as a whole. How in the hell can anyone think that Wii is a wasted console for visuals, (just because its not in HD) after gorgeous looking artistic hand-drawn games like Muramasa: The Demon Blade and A Boy & His Blob have just came out recently? Games can look really good on the Wii, so don't make such a stupid blanket statement that the whole console is a waste, because that is just absurd!
Oh yeah, I forgot people can't hear sarcasm over the internet...
But yeah, this game will rock. Also, facepalm at troll-feeding.
