The new Brutal Legend DLC, "Tears of the Hextadon", is out this week and is bringing two new maps to multiplayer. To prepare players for the new content, Double Fine's Tim Schafer hosted a multiplayer match on the Death's Fjord map which you can check out above.
The DLC is out today for the Xbox 360 for 400 MS Points. The DLC will hit the PlayStation 3 on Thursday and will be free until November 19. Why anyone would actually pay for this content is completely beyond me. Do you really need to buy two more maps to play the one and only game mode available? Really?
Coming from a huge BL defender: The multiplayer was shit.
When I heard there'd be DLC I was really hoping it was a few episodes. This world needs badass post-ending gameplay really badly. They could exploit some cool stories.
People bought the game for the style, the dialog and the story. They slogged through the gameplay to get at it. So what do they give us? More of the same gameplay. Aces, guys.
I love the multi player for this game. I'm about 100 matches in and people are still coming up with original strategies, but still a lot of fire baron rushers.
I haven't played multiplayer yet, but I do enjoy the Stage Battles, even if only against the AI. So for that, I may get the new maps. Until some of my friends pick this game up, but those lazy bastards...!
I'm buying this. And the MP isn't shit just becaouse some incompetent asses without any brain don't know how to play it."The only game mode available",How many game modes do u have in games like this ffs ? Oh right,u don't have any other games like this.....
And 1 more thing,as I have the feeling that u mostly play 3rd/1st person games, the environment in RTS games playes the same importance as units nad "game modes",so a map isn't just a map,but a development of new strategies and tactics for the player.
A week ago, the Humble Double Fine Bundle was announced. For some, it was easy to resist; though the games on the list range from decent to great, fans of the studio already owned most, if not all of the titles. Of course th...

I've always been baffled by the fact that no Tim Schafer games have ever made it to a Nintendo console (that I know of anyway). The man's irreverent sense of humor, general rejection of realistic visuals, and a focus on absur...
