Trying to make up for those missing weeks, it looks as is Microsoft is now ready to pump up the XBLA library. This week, XBLA fans will be able to download three games -- if they want. Here's what you'll be able to get:
Three great games will become available this Xbox LIVE Arcade Wednesday: “Catan” and the two-for-one Atari combo of “Centipede” and “Millipede.” “Centipede” and “Millipede” will be available worldwide as a joint download for 400 Microsoft Points and are rated E for Everyone.
While you may know Centipede and Millipede, chances are you've never heard of Catan -- which will be 800 Microsoft Points. Here's the description:
“Catan” from Big Huge Games is the Xbox LIVE Arcade edition of the legendary multiplayer board game Settlers of Catan. With over 10 million units sold, Settlers of Catan is one of the most popular board games to hail from Europe, and has been translated into twenty-five languages from the original German.
“Catan” for Xbox LIVE Arcade puts players in the role of colonists on a newly discovered island, where they vie for control of valuable territory and resources through strategy and trading. The game can be learned in just minutes, but will challenge players of all skill levels, even the experts!

i've been waiting for catan forever.
sidenote : i actually bought a dinner table primarily for my regular catan evenings. So we wouldn't have to sit at the floor.
That commercial freaks me the fuck out.
Especially Niero and Ron. God fucking blundered big time on those two.
And the interface is really nice!

but i think I'll wait until after I Beat Eternal Darkness, I've really gotten into that game and I don't want to be distracted otherwise i might not finish it.
I've been waiting for this! I hope the interface works well. It's truly a great board game, but I often times find myself wanting to play without the requisite minimum 4 players.
The PC version was so-so, but was good enough for a fix in a real pinch.
