No wonder publishers think they can get away with anything. The game was good but it wasn't half of the game SR2 was. Lots of things were cut with very few things added.
What other licances has been treating as well as 40k by Relic (if we all agree to pretend fire warrior never happend)
The fact that the DLC I've bothered downloading still didn't make up for the short campaign is appalling.
They had BETTER do it right with SR4. Give us back mission replay, differentiate each crib, give us back clothing layers, give us more than 18-20 missions of ACTUAL campaign, give us back the best of the activities, etc.
Seriously. My tolerance for this industry is little to none.
I'm with Rorek these days.
I find it strange that ppl have this notion that if THQ go under, another publisher will come along buy the IP out of charity and not milk it. Every big publisher does dlc and milks their customers and would only be intrested in Saints or 40k because those IPs are proven to be successful with DLC.
Imo the saying "the better the devil you know" applies here
Besides EA and Activision have a big enough monopoly as it is and I certainly dont want them getting any bigger. Which is just what will happen if THQ (and Sega) shut down
I will say I enjoyed the game. But not half as much as I did SR2. I really liked some of the improvements they made, but there was an obvious lack of content.
To me the worst *and for a lot of other people to* missing the layers, and some things I haven't seen mentioned before. Which is not even having all the regular npc clothing options *aka not the gang stuff but civies* available. The fact that you can't even wear your own gang outfits *with some exceptions*.
I honestly have no faith in the next sequel at this point, since THQ essentialy got a pat on the back for it.
