Like Ubisoft, THQ is evaluating its monies for 2007 and 2008. Also like Ubisoft, business is good, with the company increasing its revenue guidance from $490 million to $509 million (thanks in no small part to strong WWE Smackdown vs. Raw and MX vs. ATV Untamed sales).
The company does, however, indicate that a few dollars were lost on "underperformance" of certain titles, citing Stuntman: Ignition, Ratatouille, and Conan among them. As a result, THQ has decided not to pursue its Stuntman and Juiced IPs, as part of its "quality initiatives." Good call, guys.
Additionally, THQ has also confirmed the following cancellations: Destroy All Humans: Billy Willy Unleashed for the PlayStation 2 and -- wait for it -- Frontlines: Fuel of War for the PlayStation 3. We reported on the "rumored" cancellation of the latter game, which was later met with conflicting reports around the net. While I refuse to outright say "We told you so," I will take this moment to post a video of the Timex Social Club classic "Rumors," which you can see after the jump.
Just because I can.
Did you know that 95% of... ah screw it. :( My "Generate Statistic" button is broked-ed.
Is it possible that we are the only two old enough to remember this song!?
That really pissed me off and I gave up on it.
Stuntman was just infuriating, especially the string it crap.
Conan I really enjoyed, even if the counter system esentially made the game to easy.
Smackdown Vs Raw having good sales suprises me, that game was complete and utter shit, bad roster, bad game mechanics, glitches up the wazoo.
But why the hate for the 360 crew?
Yes. That is quite likely,
Is it just me or did all those animated music videos in the 80s freak the living shit out of you too?
There's just something fucking creepy about them....
and now a PS3 title is thrown into the garbage.
I have to accept I dont like the "one console" stuff, I also dont like how the hardcore is all going to the 360. Thats because the 360 has unreliable hardware.
