When we reported on Pikmin 3's mysterious code, earned by collecting all ten of the Secret Memos hidden throughout the world, commenter NovaKnight21 made a prediction: "It's a series of numbers that, once you buy the official Nintendo decoder ring, tells you to 'Drink More Ovaltine.'" Funny enough, that's not too far off.
Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto shared a link to a site that allows you to enter the code you got for a special video -- there are a handful of different ones -- but it's only viewable using the Wii U's Internet browser. GameXplain has compiled (all?) five of the videos, which explain what went on with Captain Olimar and Louie before you crash landed.
It's not terribly exciting stuff, but, there's speculation that this might lead up to prequel DLC featuring our two favorite treasure hunters and possibly remixed levels of the core game. That's almost certainly wishful thinking, even if there are some questions left unanswered at the end of Pikmin 3that could tie in nicely. How freakin' great would that be, though?
