Someone thought it was a good idea to take the already weird looking new PS3 and barf up little gold-colored emblems on it as a special edition release for Yakuza 5. I found this ghoul of a game system on Sega Japan's front page while making my morning rounds and almost lost my breakfast over it.

Sorry. It's not that bad, I guess. This "Emblem Edition" PS3 is decorated with the emblems of the crime families from Yakuza. It comes with a gaudy gold controller and 8GB USB drive. This 250GB system releases in Japan on December 6, priced at 37, 800 yen (over $450 after conversion).

TGS: Kickin' it with Kazuma the cabbie in Yakuza 5

There's no questioning that Yakuza series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu is a badass of the highest order, but his first appearance in a Tokyo Game Show demo of upcoming PS3 game Yakuza 5 has him in a cab driver's uniform. Yep, the Dragon of Dojima is a taxi driver.  My first thought: Oh no they didn't!more

The new Pink/White PS Vita is super cute

I'll stick with my teal blue Japanese PS Vita that I brought home from TGS last year. But I'm still digging the new Pink/White model, on display at TGS 2014. It's just like mine with the all-white face, with the back taking all the color.  This new Vita launches in November in Japan, priced at 18,980 yen. How's your boring North American Vita?more
