This weekend on Twitch TV: Steve Burnside is a chump
This weekend on Dtoid's Twitch TV channel, we're bringing you some special treats. Rad Show will be doing live gameplay of the closed beta for Diablo III. Hangover has an obscure, Japan-only Popeye game from the Super Famicom. Also, Phil is trying to save the world in Resident Evil: Code Veronica whilst also dealing with Steve Burnside, who is annoying, and has stupid hair. PAX East is upon us, which means some changes to the schedule this weekend. King Foom is away from Mash Tactics, but doing some special streams live from the PAX East floor. There will be a traditional "Phil-In Show" in Mash Tactics' spot today, with some Street Fighter X Tekken. Weekend Escape is taking the week off as Caitlin Cooke is PAX'ing it up. Sup Holmes will be off, but Jonathan Holmes may be paying a visit on tomorrow's special PAX stream. Get the full rundown in the detailed schedule below.
King Foom will be streaming live from PAX East Saturday and Sunday from 1-2 p.m. Pacific. Saturday holds a planned appearance from Jonathan Holmes, host of Sup Holmes. And, Sunday marks the first appearance of Jon Carnage on Destructoid's channel since his departure from Mash Tactics.
Substituted Reality is Destructoid's only PC exclusive gaming show, hosted by lovably offbeat caster, Awdamn, and airing every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 8p.m. Pacific. Tonight after the "Phil-In Show", Awdamn wants you to swear to him in Batman: Arkham City. Saturday night will be a rumble with the mythical Sexual Tyrannosaurus in Dino D-Day. Sunday night is a return to Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the game with the NPC's that inspired this.
Saturday Morning Hangover with Conrad Zimmerman and Jordan Devore airs from 10a.m. to 12p.m. Pacific. Come watch as they play the latest Xbox Live Indie Games demos for your enjoyment, and revel in the beauty of Conrad's mustache! This week, Conrad and Jordan are playing Popeye: Ijiwaru Majo Seahag no Maki, a Japanese game, based on a Western cartoon, which never made it to the West.
Chill with Phil airs this and every Saturday at 4p.m. Pacific. Host, Philanthr0py is continuing his full series playthrough of the Resident Evil franchise. This week, Phil is finally moving up to Resident Evil: Code Veronica. Phil is somewhat trepidatious about this one, as he has very little experience with it. Also, Steve Burnside is insufferable.
321Go Cast is Destructoid's live-recording community podcast about nothing, airing at 2p.m. Pacific and starring JohnnyViral, Pangloss, Chris Healy, and Ryu89. This week, the guys are lamenting their absence from PAX East.
Super Fantastic Videogame Rad Show: Get There! starring Johnny Luchador and Bill Zoeker airs every Sunday at 4p.m. Pacific. Rad Show takes a light-hearted approach to gaming, with the guys usually focusing more on breaking games for ridiculous results than completing feats of skill. This week, the guys are playing the Diablo III closed beta, and throwing jars of spiders at things, like crazed junkies.
Retroactive centers around the games of yesteryear. Every Sunday at 6p.m. Pacific, and Monday at 8p.m. Pacific, its host, Crux adventures through nostalgic games on the consoles of his childhood. This Sunday, Crux is getting frisky with Monster in my Pocket for NES. Monday, Crux plans to take another crack at Super Mario Bros. 2 and The Lost Levels.
