7:30 PM on 12.07.2012 // Conrad Zimmerman

Check out our full schedule of live content!

The Spike 2012 Video Game Awards air tonight and we'll be watching! As a special treat, the Podtoid cast is being assembled to perform live commentary of the event on Dtoid TV! Join Jim Sterling, Jonathan Holmes and myself at 6pm Pacific for an uproarious celebration of videogames and high-profile marketing!

But that's not all! We have a great lineup of content for you to enjoy all weekend long. Rick "King Foom" Olson is currently expected to be reporting live from the TigerDirect Charity PC race in Chicago on Saturday.  You won't want to miss Jo Lammert, co-founder of White Whale Games on Sup, Holmes? or the conclusion of Phil's epic run through Deadly Premonition on Chill with Phil. It's all happening at Dtoid TV!

Check out our full schedule for the weekend:

All times are Pacific
6pm - Destructoid's VGA Commentary Spectacular!
The 2012 Spike Video Game Awards air tonight and Destructoid is watching! Join Jim Sterling, Jonathan Holmes and Conrad Zimmerman for a live commentary show where we celebrate the spectacle that is the year's loudest gaming awards show.

8pm - Substituted Reality
Get there for the gameplay, stay for the socials. AwDamn will be playing Left 4 Dead 2 tonight. Team up and survive the horde!

[Destructoid's only PC-exclusive gaming show, Substituted Reality showcases a wide variety of games with a particular focus on first-person shooters. Hosted by the lovely, off-beat, AwDamn.]

10am - Saturday Morning Hangover
Get your Saturday started off right, as the gang tries their best to survive the horrors of Zombi U. Also tune in for King Foom's report from Chicago near the end of the show!

[Ease the pain from the night before with a little schadenfreude as Destructoid's Conrad Zimmerman, Jordan Devore and the lovely Katrina play the week's Xbox Live Indie Games demos and beg for death's sweet embrace.]
12pm - Weekend Escape
Come hang out with Brett and Cait this afternoon as they play some games, argue with each other, and show some off some animated pandas. Hype!

[Hang out with Destructoid Contributors Brett Zeidler and Caitlin Cooke as they play through entire games with a focus on co-op. It's a safe bet that Caitlin is probably going to get mad at Brett for everything at some point.]
4pm - Chill with Phil
Phil honestly expects that he'll complete Deadly Premonition this week. We'll just see about that.

[Philanth0py hosts this relaxed show in which he performs full game (and series) playthroughs.]
8pm - Substituted Reality
Learn a little something about the nature of insanity as AwDamn delves into Far Cry 3.

[Destructoid's only PC-exclusive gaming show, Substituted Realityshowcases a wide variety of games with a particular focus on first-person shooters. Hosted by the lovely, off-beat, AwDamn.]

9am - The Sunday Show
Start your morning with some Dark Souls. Dr.Crux continues his current romp through this brutally unforgiving game.

[OnThe Sunday Show join your host, Dr. Crux, as he plays through a variety of games, ranging from new releases to retro classics. Come for the gameplay, stay for the snarky banter. Dr. Crux is not a medical doctor.]

1pm - Sup, Holmes?
This week, Jonathan will be joined by Jo Lammert, co-founder of White Whale Games.

[Join Destructoid's most lovable Associate Editor, Jonathan Holmes, for interviews with his friends in the game industry. Participate in the live chat and get your questions answered]

4pm - Rad Show: Get There!
The Rad Show gang goes back to the squared circle once again to hit the mat hard with more WWE 13 insanity.

[Starring Johnny Luchador, Super Fantastic Videogame Rad Show: Get There! takes a lighthearted approach to gaming, with the guys usually focusing more on breaking games for ridiculous results than accomplishing feats of skill.]
8pm - Substituted Reality
Close out the week with a chilled out  AwDamn, as he continues his full run of Bioshock 2.

[Destructoid's only PC-exclusive gaming show, Substituted Realityshowcases a wide variety of games with a particular focus on first-person shooters. Hosted by the lovely, off-beat, AwDamn.]

The issue with Mike's article isn't that he doesn't like SMB. His tone makes it feel like his opinion is presented as fact, and the article goes way off track from the title.

The last bit made me laugh for some reason. [img][/img]

My silly joke comment on Mike's article looks really mean next to all the bitter ones. Why are people so accepting of my unpopular opinions, but not his?

I'm still watching this over and over. Dude is tremendously talented, to say the least. Just wait until the solo and breakdown.

Nice. Destructoid articles no longer scroll on my tablet or phone. Who should I email about this?

Anybody like Rhythm games? I found a really cool one on, I likes it, I likes it a lot! Although you gotta use Firefox due to lag caused by chrome unfortunately.

Finding name brand candy in Chibi-Robo Zip Lash brings an unexpected joy that reminds me of finding Duracell batteries and other real products in the first Pikmin.

Super Meat Boy must be one of the most difficult platinum trophies to exist for Playstation. Beat every dark world section without dying? Ha, okay.

Attention Craigslist users: No one wants your ps2 sports games no matter how much you repost them/drop the price, unless it's NBA Street, Def Jam Vendetta or SSX3. The rest are better used as drink coasters.

If you imagine this song as Kojima speaking these as parting words to his creation of Metal Gear, it's actually pretty heat breaking...

One thing I've learned about the Japanese fighting game players: They are willing to play any fighter no matter how good or bad it is, and they don't shit on the game or the community behind it.

Watched the first ep of One Punch Man and I was not disappointed. It seems like they'll be adding their own stories into it because I don't remember that fight in the last 5 minutes in the manga. I'll have to reread it to make sure.

What the hell is Sega using in the printing of their PS3 game manuals? I wouldn't be surprised if some dumb kid stuck one in a plastic bag and started huffing the fumes to get high.

Been playing MGO obsessively, still can't find anyone in their right mind that uses the Hush Puppy. So of course I'm gonna be the dumb bastard that tries.

Why don't we have more games that use filtered 3D models to creat faux-pixel art? It's such a cool, smooth style, but you never see any games using it.

Oh lawd. Next Saturday, Gamestop will have three hour access to Tri-Force Heroes. Nintendo, really wish we could just get normal demos from you more often, please!

Star Wars Battlefront is pretty good. Except the beta is basically a demo with nothing in it so that upsets me. but it's still pretty good.
