This week on XBLA: Diner Dash and Gyromancer photo

Generally speaking, there doesn't seem to be much rhyme or rhythm to the Xbox LIVE Arcade release schedule. But if I had to make a guess, I'd say the theme for this Wednesday's games, Gyromancer and Diner Dash, is that of soul-eating addictiveness.

Though the release dates aren't exactly new, the prices -- 1200 Microsoft Points for Gyromancer and 800 for Diner Dash -- totally are. In a rare move, I'm giving a thumbs up to both titles this week; assuming you can make the time. We are currently in this year's craziest period for gaming, after all.

What'll it be? One, both, or neither? I was going to blindly buy Gyromancer without trying the demo, but now that we know it's $15 for sure, perhaps not. Something about that extra five bucks is a huge downer. Completely silly, I know, but tell me you don't feel the same way sometimes.

When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied: "bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways. Oh my god. The header image is making me so hungry. Even if Gyromancer isn't about a wizard who specializes in delicious Greek food, I'd still buy it.

Holy shit! I didn't even realize Gyromancer was even coming to XBLA, I just hoped it would find it's way there someday like Puzzle Quest. I'll definitely look into getting that, I loved Puzzle Quest and I'm assuming any Puzzle Quest-esq game would satisfy me as well.

I'll spend my 20 dollars on several Gyros instead of these. More more satisfying.

You might be having the wrong year this year.. First quarter of next year is going to be the craziest time of year for gaming... Any other year however you would have been correct Jordan.

Oh and that extra 5'er for Gyromancer is probably because you've got that lovely Square branding on it. If we weren't paying for their name I don't think it's cost that much..

Damn you, Jordan. Now I'll need to resist driving over to Greektown in the middle of the night and ordering a some gyro to go.
