That's right, Toidertots, we've got next week's rock offerings a couple days early. On July 8th (the 10th for you PSTriple-ites) Harmonix is serving up a delicious rock stew featuring Red Hot Chili Peppers tracks "Snow ((Hey Oh))" and "Tell Me Baby", as well as Rush tracks "Closer to the Heart" and "Working Man." Each track is $1.99 (160 Microsoft points) and all tracks are masters. You read right: Harmonix has managed to wrangle a master version of "Working Man." Not only a master, but a master with an alternate solo that has yet to be released publicly. Those of you that count themselves among the cult of Geddy Lee fans may need a moment to clean up the results of the pants-wetting excitement you just experienced. In the mean time, enjoy an intimate performance of "Closer to the Heart" featuring the musical stylings of none other than Bubbles himself. [power-glove is a scholar and a gentleman]

Sexyyyyyy. Deff buyin.
Wow I started watching the video before even reading, and saw Bubbles!!! That was a lil surprising!
What the fuck about people (like me) who already own the cover version of Working Man?
That's bullshit.
Holy crap, Closer to the Heart AND Working Man AND they're master tracks?!
@AKK: You and People (like you) will be able to own the master version of Working Man!
That's awesome.
Wait a tick...YOUR NOT POWER GLOVE....IMPOSTOR!!!!!
Anyway, RHCP will be mine!
Hmmmmmm. RHCP and RUSH? **raises eyebrow**
RHCP and Working Man?
I CAME
I just bought the Working Man cover 3 minutes ago..
:(
Atta boy, Bubbles.
Where is all the Radiohead?!?!?!?!
I cant help but laugh at that retarded looking guy in the video. What joy.
Goddamn it. I want by the Way or something besides those two songs. Fuck.
Rush, however, just gave me an erection. I hope we can download the master for free, us that downloaded the cover...
You obviously don't know who Bubbles is.
Rockfellow, no it is not free. It is a completely different version of the song with a different solo that has not been released anywhere else.
Those Chili Pepper Tracks are AMAZING. Seriously, vocals will be a blast, and it'll be nice to see a slower song.
How about some Bowie non covers and My Sharona while they are at it.. I will be forced to get this even though I already have the cover too.. F bastards. How bout they give us 2112 for 1.99 if they want to make up for it.. (Yes, that is Rush's longest track clocking in at over 20 minutes)
The fact that you know Bubbles gives me big boners. I'm going to assume you are a Canadian now.
@Yashoki
That right there is the retarded looking guy in the video, aka.Bubbles from the Trailer Park Boys. A joy only us Canadians will have.
I'm miffed that I purchased the inferior cover of "Working Man" some months ago. But the fact that HMX snagged a master version that's never even been heard is pretty amazing. My wallet is angry, but they'll have my money. It's likely when they released the cover they didn't have or couldn't get the master; I'd rather them release this now that they have it rather than skip it altogether. If there was a way they could just replace the old version with the new so we could re-download it ...
You can be the captain! I will draw the chart!
Sailing into destiny... closer to the heart!
Here's hoping that Xanadu gets some action soon and all of Cygnus X-1 Book II.
I would also love some Radiohead, but Im pretty happy this week. Considering this is new school Peppers, they picked some good ones, and Give it Away is apparently in RB2, so that will be super fun.
Rush masters are something I know a lot of people wanted, so thats cool.
I'd be jizzing something fierce right now, if I owned a 360 and Rock Band. Love me some Rush.

Watch and learn the awesomeness of Bubbles.
I haven't seen so much whining over 2 bucks since Better Off Dead...why don't you start an online petition or make half-baked proclamations about class-action lawsuits while you're at it?
i wish that they could get the moving pictures full album
i would shoot a load for a chance to play vital signs
