OK, I get that everyone has different tastes. Really, I do. But why, Harmonix? Why follow up the Pixies and Weezer with Mötley Crüe, Papa Roach, and Trapt? I thought we were friends, man.

Yeah, yeah, you're kicking off your Rock Band Truck Tour, and you'll be at Crüefest, which will make you look really edgy to the kind of people that go to Mötley Crüe concerts. But you're also going to be at Lollapalooza and Vans Warped Tour! Would a little Gnarls Barkley and Gogol Bordello (both appearing at Lollapalooza) have been too much to ask for this week?!

At least you had the decency to include a free track -- a song by a fictitious band called Vesuvius from an upcoming comedy film called The Rocker. Look, man, Activision is starting to show you up. Activision! You used to be on top and now you're letting the guys that all but abandoned DLC walk right in and take over. I feel like I don't even know you sometimes.

Hit the jump for the full release on the Rock Band Truck Tour.

As much as I like Gnarls Barkley, they are not a Rock Band and many of their songs don't fit the 4-man setup.

Besides, people who did not this week's DLC release are probably the intended audience and it's cheap for people that had to spend $24.50

Unfortunately, Qais, this post comes across like something that I would find on the Rock Band forums. Your have to be joking about the Guitar Hero comment especially, after they released 17 songs this week.

Also, Lollapalooza is in August, maybe something related will come out then.

Also, Sean Baptiste said that they will be making an news announcement on Monday so maybe something big will come them.

Tracks:
Crüefest Pack:
“Down At The Whisky” – Mötley Crüe
“Time Is Running Out” – Papa Roach
“Who’s Going Home With You Tonight” – Trapt

“Promised Land” - Vesuvius
(All tracks utilize the original master recordings)

Got them from power-glove's cblog. Maybe he should write these posts from now on.

So papa roach is still (somewhat at least) famous?

Dude, seriously, how can you possibly say that Activision with their randomly and barely existent DLC is somehow better then Rock Band's consistent and varied weekly releases? So you don't like the Crue Fest bands, so fucking what. They just released 19 tracks from two of the best American bands last week, for god's sake! What the fuck do you want?
