Why on the trailers for this game do they imply that you are not just racing ghosts, even online, no collisions. I'm not saying that's bad, I love it and all it's previous iterations, but I think some people are put off when they start playing and realise the trailers are not fully representative.

You make a good point. I was thinking this too myself when I saw the trailer. I love trackmania, and Ive put countless hours into it, but Im sure the average gamer may be turned off by the lack of car to car collision. Personally, when I race I turn off all the other players cars anyway since all Im racing against is everyone elses times. Especially in a precision game like this where every twitch and turn can add or subtract a valuable tenth of a second, I cant have a bunch of ghost cars muddling up my screen.
Anyway, I cant wait to drain more of my time into this game!

well no collisions might be a good thing, imagine just how much of a motorway pile up it would be with 200 cars all bumping in to each other.

Collision would render trackmania's play style absolutely useless.

the single player was all time trials and stuff but there were quite a few multiplayer mods where you drove on re-created formula 1 tracks and raced against others properly and there were a lot of others besides that

Collisions? Won't work, don't whine about it.
Only "time attack"? Well, that's Trackmania in a nutshell. For some it's exciting as fuck as the tracks can be ridiculously hard. It's about the fun, racing on a track with jumps, loops, tight corners, etc... When that doesn't appeal to you than Trackmania is the wrong game.
And play multiplayer if the single player bores you. It's ultra varied and just fun.
To the ones who can't buy it. Try replacing 'us' with 'eu' in the URL. I'm from austria and I already bought it. There's no country restriction, everybody can buy it.
