I don't know who the crazy cats at The Tech Game are or how they got a hold of what looks to be the first Modern Warfare 2 map pack. But they did, and Activision has proceeded to yank their original video of the "Stimulus Package" add-on, making us think it's probably legit.
Luckily, at the time of writing, there was a backup video on Vimeo. The maps shown are Crash, Overgrown, Complex, Compact, and Storm. Infinity Ward really nailed a lot of the original maps in Call of Duty 4, so it makes sense that we would see a few of them resurface as downloadable content in Modern Warfare 2.
If you're curious for pictures of the new maps, the aforementioned site (linked below) has a .rar packed with watermark-laden images. Last we heard, the DLC was still on for this spring, so it shouldn't be much longer 'til we get the big (official) reveal.

Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:
"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
As for the packs, I might download them at some point.
Wonderful.
Please don't charge me for map reboots, I don't want to pay for rehashed maps. If I want to play CoD4 maps...I'll play CoD4.
I will only ever consider starting that game again if they reboot Crossfire. But even then.... Shit I hate this game.
I mean, I really like Overgrown but come the fuck on.
I'll still be playing it though cause my roommate is a MW2 addict.
That's funny because the people that spout that shit are the people that don't know how to play Battlefield and make playing that game as pleasurable as ass cancer.
Which would be the case if I had the game or had any intentions of getting it any time soon. Fortunately, I don't.
But yeah I came buckets when I read Crash is included.
Love me some Crash though.
They are going to sell maps from their previous games that look like they've been unchanged! Like, at all! This is incredible.
LOL
"Now your two bosses are fired....and make some money and bring some old shit for MW2 as DLC out. The stupid customers will buy it.....whrgbrl money whrgbrl!!!11!!!11"
Do not buy this. It's money straight in Kotick's pocket and will likely be put towards lawyers to help him screw the IW guys out of their royalties!
If you buy this DLC, you are voting to keep Kotick in the industry.
bc2>mag>mw1>mw2:)
The only difference in the amount of labor between bringing back a classic map and creating an entirely new map is the lack of a necessitated brain-storming session that would be required to envision new content. It's still rather labor intensive.
You know, the more you know...
