Behance artist Phuwadon Thongnoum has put together some of the coolest Street Fighter fan art I've ever seen, and I've seen plenty! The style -- the shapes and lines, with defined edges and bold colors -- really catches the eye and fits the characters nicely. I love how the arcs and the fine lines with in suggest movement. Guile's Flash Kick is probably my favorite of the bunch.

You can check out the full collection over at Behance. Also, don't miss his Zangief vs. Bear piece.

Skullgirls' rad lead animator selling a sketchbook until July 31

Mariel Cartwright is taking one run of pre-orders until July 31 on an 80-page, black and white sketchbook, which was originally sold at Anime Expo. After July 31, you'll have to pick it up at next year's Anime Expo.  It's probably real good because her art is real good.more

We go forward: A bittersweet comic to start your day

Using game mechanics and a pixel art aesthetic to convey a deeper thought is no longer for indie games some of you are sick of. It can be done in comic form. And quite well. It's like a mild La Maison en Petits Cubes, in that I wasn't weeping  heavy for five straight minutes.  It's cute and bittersweet. Good job, Shenanigansen (no relation).more
