This mouse promises to 'blow away your gaming tension'
I shouldn't need to explain to you why this mouse from Thermaltake is absurd, because I'm assuming you can look at it for yourself. But, on the off chance any of you are vision impaired, the Black Element Gaming Mouse Cyclone Edition looks like something straight out of those Tex Avery cartoons about the future. The ridiculous fan is detachable, which is probably for the best. It's specifically noted that the fan device "generates only 21.7dB sound level, below the library's average noise at 30dB." So, rest assured, you can bring this bad boy out in public knowing that a sweaty hand won't be able to stop your gaming. I'm no engineer, but last I checked, sweat tended to come from the palms of my hands. This Gaming Mouse Has a Fan. A Spinning Fan. Really. [Kotaku] Did you know? Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)You have a weird body Jordan. A normal person would perspire from their fingernails; an intrusive physiological flaw for gamers. Hahahaha. Dat fan.
That thing would get so annoying so fast. It just looks like something else that can break. I dunno, this seems kinda cool. I have really long fingers, so they're always curled, and my hand sweats like a bitch during a game of dota or something. Still, I've never once stopped to think "I need a FAN on this mouse". I guess they just had to justify it being a Thermaltake, since they are known more for their cooling equipment. I prefer my mice to be water cooled and made from breathable fabric with that freezy gel shit inside.
Only n00bs use teh fanz. Well this is fucking weird. I actually just had my first experience with one of these at a friend's house only about an hour ago. I will say that the fan seems almost pointless, although my friend had it set up on the keyboard to cool the WASD fingers What the hell happened to the mouse they were designing with BMW? That thing looked miles better than this and also looked like it would keep your hand cool without a stupid fan. I was gonna Photoshop something even more ridiculous, but it's impossible. You win this time, Thermaltake. I'd probably mod the fan to use metal wings with increased RPMs, but then my fears of sticking my hand inside a garbage disposal would stop me. Every tune I look at thuspost I try to think of something funny or clever to say but sometimes there are just no words. This mouse is fucking brilliant, you just lift your hand up ever so slightly and allow the cool breeze to soothe your palms. I can't say enough good things about this idea and I don't understand the hate. When I was heavily invested in PC gaming 10 and 20 years ago, I would have killed for this shit, maybe I'll get into Diablo 3 with this thing. @cahuatijo you can do the same with a cheap usb fan you can buy of ebay/dealextreme for practically no money, and having a constant breeze over your hands can get annoying.
