What's happening this month in the fascinating world of Xbox LIVE? A bunch of little things that perfectly add up to be enough material for a single press release. God bless the art of filler content.
In Avatar-related news, there are more outfits on the way: "original styles" from the 80's (September 10), "urban culture" (the 17th), and Forza Motorsport 3-themed duds on the 24th.
Things get quite a bit more exciting when it comes to this month's deals. The Deal of the Week games are Lode Runner on September 14, Pinball FX on the 21st, and then Guitar Hero World Tour's top ten downloadable songs will be 50% off at some point during September.
And as for Games on Demand, the latest batch includes Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution (Sept. 8), FIFA Street 3 (the 15th), Shaun White Snowboarding (the 22nd), and lastly, there's the first episode of Fable II, which releases on the 29th for absolutely free.
Like I said, nothing substantial, but as a group, this stuff almost seems noteworthy. Almost.
This is Microsoft. It's safe to say that they'll cost money.
Wait, did I say funniest?I meant dumbest. Yeah that's right. Suggestng that MS and Sony get together for something as useless as avatars is dumb.
While resisting the obvious "dumbest thing I've ever read" joke, I'm gonna let you know that you read Holy Taco's message totally wrong. He is suggesting that Sony allow PS3 users to display their Home avatars on their XMB. He never mentions anything about a Sony and MS collaboration.
