Sometimes, I don't really pay attention to things. I had no idea Shatter was in the works but I'm so happy I do know now. I'm not even sure how or why I even clicked the link to see the new Shatter video but I am really glad I did as it looks absolutely amazing. Shatter looks like it's the child of Geometry Wars and Breakout after they had crazy drunken sex at the annual videogame puzzle party fest, which is something I just made up.

Just look at the trailer after the jump. LOOK AT IT! It looks so beautiful. The puzzles, the visuals and the music all look hot. Shatter will be coming to the PlayStation Network later this year.

what is this I don't even

Not kidding, one second, it's standard "hit ball to make ball hit blocks," then suddenly, I'm slowing down time to act like I'm made out of gatling guns with fancy space ammo to shoot with. This is something I can get behind.

Looks like a mix between Plasma Pong and Break-Out to me... Not all that interesting imo

I'm not sure, but am I missing something completely?

To me, this looks just like any of the multitude of shareware breakout games on the 'net at the moment... What makes this one special? (<-- Genuine question)

I wasn't really excited until it switched to the side-on level then I got a bit more excited.

I hope the game is around 6GBP.

Has it got multiplayer??

Gameplay-wise, I'm not blown away. It looks nice, but I'm not itching to try it out.

Music-wise, I need to get me that soundtrack!

I wasn't really impressed... until I noticed the little wave effect being emitted from your ship. I think you can pull or push stuff, which definitely spices up the formula

Looks alright, can't say I'd buy it though.

Got a friend who has a hard on for Breakout on his Blackberry though, maybe it's more his thing.

That did nothing for me. I've seen a million of those if I've caught a passing glimpse of one. I'll wait till you review it to give it any investment.

Looks hot. It seems to have a similar suck/blow mechanic as Plasma Pong.

I'd get this if it were $9.99 or less.

Totally on the fence here.

I've conned myself into getting breakout-style games before, and while I DO enjoy them at first, they seem to get boring pretty fast.

Looks like the type of game that'll go on sale eventually though. Might get it then.

I touch myself at night to puzzle games. This is going in the spank bank.
