You'd have to be either a huge Gears of War fan or have an insane amount of disposable income to be able to afford TriForce's 1:1 scale Lancer Assault Rifle. The highly impressive replica costs $949.99, and will be available in February of next year.
These Lancers are 40" in length, weigh 15 pounds, have working LED lights, and only 500 of them are being created. TriForce is taking pre-orders now, if you actually are into this sort of thing. Not that these replicas aren't incredibly cool, but seriously.
Personally, the Amazon.com Lancer meets my chainsaw gun needs; if I had an extra $1k sitting around, I'd probably get a huge Alien bust or something equally nerdy. On second thought, I shouldn't be allowed to judge how others spend their money.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:

Quality work, but I don't really care about Gears that much.
Because for that money I could buy a roast, roast a hooker and hook a commissioned art piece.
That's cool, man. To each his own. I embrace my geekyness as much as the next guy, it's just that the last time I kind of gave full disclosure about it to somebody, it kind of ruined things.
So now I just restrain myself a little bit more than usual.
