I've somewhat purposefully been avoiding The Order: 1886. The London setting and developer (the God of War PSP games' Ready at Dawn) are a curious mix, but ever since that announcement trailer back at E3, rather regrettably, not much has come out.

This is a new intellectual property -- a big-budget next-gen one at that -- but even that's not enough to hold my attention. I've been waiting for something truly worth sharing, and I'd say these screenshots courtesy of Game Informer are a step in the right direction.

Still not sold on this thing being what Ready at Dawn calls a "filmic experience."

The Order: 1886: Handsome men with guns & nice coats

I may have been expecting something else out of The Order: 1886, for whatever reason, but I'm settling in to its identity as another cinematic (maybe the most cinematic) cover-based third-person shooter. I think it's all the fancy dress and mustaches that are convincing me. It looks like you beat up Hitler in this gameplay trailer, too. You don't, but it looks like.more

Things are out of the order-nary in PS4's The Order: 1886

I'm as interested in The Order: 1886 as I can be for a game I know so little about. I've still not seen the PS4 exclusive from the consistently good Ready at Dawn in action, but this recent PlayStation Blog post from Ready at...more

Ready at Dawn Studios showed off a trailer for a new IP for the PlayStation 4, called The Order: 1866. While the trailer didn't show a lot, it did show enough to get me excited. It's a Victorian-era setting with lots of awes...more

Hollywood loves the E3 trailer for Metal Gear Solid V

It should go without saying that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain had a great showing at E3. Not only was the official trailer a stellar piece of work, and a big indication of how grim the game will be, but the 30-minute ...more
