This is what the Modern Warfare 2 boycotters are playing
Infinity Ward won itself no friends when it announced that dedicated servers had been scrapped for Modern Warfare 2. Nerd rage was radiated, petitions were signed, and boycotts were joined in order to show Infinity Ward and Activision that they will not be moved on this issue! Now that the game is out for a few days, let's check and see what the Modern Warfare 2 boycotters are playing. Hopefully they've found all sorts of other games to play to really slap Activision in the face. Oh ... oh wait ... everybody's playing Modern Warfare 2. Um ... that'll show 'em! Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)This serves as a reminder that all nerd rage should just be ignored, especially review score nerd rage. Guess what? If people can't put their money where their mouth is, we're always going to be ignored. Atleast I've managed to not buy a copy. But this shows the lack of a backbone in the PC-gamer populus...
SELLOUTS! :p then they show up later like "wait, boycott means DON'T buy it? OHHHHHH! I thought it meant sign a petition to say that it sucks. fuck not buying it dude are you crazy?" Wow. At least I had the good senses to actually pirate the game while stating my dislike for Activison's douche baggery. Well I didn't buy and won't unless I can get it for about $10 or so, but I'm not a part of any big-city boycott group. I'm just a purist who enjoys the ability to make my game fun if it stops being so. I didn't even bother to pirate it "to make a point", in no way does this stack up as being better than TF2. I guess it's official now - at least 10 people bought Modern Warfare 2 for PC, which means that the boycott didn't work. You may have won this battle Mr. Sterling, but you havent won the war!
pd: who the hell plays killing floor!? Its inevitable that the first people to start and join groups like these are people who really cared about the game. It's hard to walk away from that. I was pretty lucky that it was easy for me not to buy it. Personally, I felt like I had missed out on not buying CoD4 and was looking to get in on the ground floor this time around with the PC version. After the revelation about how they were handling the game, I decided against it. I didn't join a group, I didn't tell anyone else not to buy it. I just don't think its worth the money, and I don't like it as a direction for PC gaming. Well I understand the rage of all the pc gamers but everyone wants to play it because it looks awsome. I hate the way everyone is rags on the boycotters. If they raised the price of the 360 version $10 and made multiplayer 4v4 everyone of you would be pissed too. As awsome as I know this game is I can't support IW/acti on this one. I'm going to wait until I can get it off of eBay for $30. We all knew this was going to happen, these boycotts are always a joke - just like the L4D2 one. Nerd Rage tends to be bullshit. The boycotters would have made a much greater impact if they had started a letter writing campaign addressed to Activision and Infinity Ward as opposed to clicking a couple of buttons on a website. There is no actual commitment nor "dedication to the cause" in "signing" an internet petition nor joining a Steam group. Wait... All they said is that they wouldn't buy the game. For all we know, they just got a pirated version of it, right? Or am I missing something. Not that I condone piracy, but playing the game does not mean they bought it unless I'm missing something here... Keres: lol, nah. I downloaded it and am currently seeding even though I have no plans to play it on PC. " For all we know, they just got a pirated version of it, right?"
Can't play on steam or multiplayer with pirated version. its 90USD on steam over here, what is seriously so hard about boycotting at that price? or even 60USD considering it is pretty much a glorified DLC with much less features on the PC You should probably check the rest of the 19 pages before rushing to conclusions. Only the first two pages have people playing MW2 currently. 6:30 PM on 06.18.2013 Black Ops II nails down July release for Vengeance DLCFollowing Revolution and Uprising, Call of Duty: Black Ops II will get its third downloadable content pack starting July 2, 2013 on Xbox 360.
